I'm adding the late game because this line seems inflated due to Darvish's brilliant first start.  Sure he's good, but LA has the better lineup and I'll be surprised if Darvish can do to LA what he did to Houston.  Weaver is no slouch (1 ER in 6 innings against CIN in his first start), and I expect him to match Darvish every step of the way.  I'm playing this mainly for the value -- the wrong team is favored in my opinion.

Good work. After a day lke we had yesterday there's always a down factor - but you have overcome that with minimal damage overall. That's commendable as long as learning factor is there

Some wacky results today, that's for sure. Looks to be perhaps a closer change incoming in Kansas City. Arizona bats stay hot. Boston bats pounded Dickey and Bush. (There is a sweet headline there somewhere)

Red Sox and Orioles have changed roles this year.  I am not sure if the Orioles can play with the pressure expectations bring.  This is also the home opener for this year's Red Sox team, who can regain fan support with a win here.

 

Yankees won yesterday against Verlander in a Sunday that turned to be crazy for top notch pitchers, but I am still not buying it.  Too many injuries for a team I didn't believe in to begin with.  Also, home opener for the new and improved Cleveland Indians.

 

Doc pitched 3 1/3 innings last outing, but had 9 strikeouts on his way to getting lit up.  I think he was/is a great pitcher, but he still doesn't have it all together yet.  He seems like Tiger the past couple years, where you see signs of greatness hindered by health issues.  All this combined with the Phils bull pen being overworked the past week, equals good value on Mets and Harvey here.

Under 8.5 PIT Pirates - ARI Diamondbacks -110

Two very good lineup matchups for both starters.  Wandy is a very capable lefty.  Diamondbacks are hot but are only 5 for 44 so far vs lefties.  Pirates just can't hit anything.  Just had their first home run last night.   Both bullpens have been average or above.  I like the Under on a surprising 8.5 line.

MIA Marlins ML +145

Miami sporting a .833 OPS vs lefties this year.  Slowey has looked fairly solid all spring and seems to be hungry for that first win since 2010.  Maholm can have his struggles away from home.  Atlanta has been somewhat slow out of the gates last few against Chicago and Miami could put them in a hole early.  Stanton has yet to awaken.  I like the value here on Miami with the Home Opener energy maybe temporarily healing their bullpen woes.

HOU Astros ML +150 

Fading the very badly pitching Joe Saunders.  He is pitching so bad this spring that there are articles as to whether or not he is covering up an injury.  I like Houston's lineup vs lefties and Humber vs Seattle (remember the perfecto?)  Humber did all of his winning last year on the road.  He has been pitching great all spring and can steal one here from a Seattle team primed for a Home Opener let down.  Houston won't win 60 games, I know, but I like this play on multiple levels today with the road value.

I looked long at the BAL Orioles vs BOS Red Sox.  I couldn't make a pick either way; split.  Boston Home Opener and they 'should' win with a strong looking Buchholz on the mound.  Yet, Boston has struggled at times vs lefties this year (Pettitte, Happ).  Chen hasn't looked efficient at all, but the O's have raised their game the last few series at Fenway.  Should be a good one!  Good luck on the Bosox SimonDog and Musicmatt!

sample size is small but redsox aren't hitting well vs. lefty's so far and baltimore is hitting over .300 against righties.Buchholz usually struggles in day games, Chen did very well in day games last season.

MIL Brewers ML +110 

Chasing my dog.Estrada on the mound, has a great record against the cubs, he pitched well his last start giving up 2 hr's but walking none and striking out 8.I believe he has a great outing.Jackson has struggled in his carreer at wrigley field.

MIN Twins ML +131

Twins have been hitting well vs. righties, and they facing a righthabder that usually struggles in the day.KC has not been hitting righties well so far, Correia usually pitches well in the day.

STL Cardinals ML -108

Key batters in the STL lineup have hit Latos well in the past. Latos is 2-4 in starts vs the Cardinals with an ERA of 9.00 and WHIP 1.824. Garcia is 8-2 in career starts against Cinci. ERA 3.06 WHIP 1.315.

COL Rockies ML +158

The pitching matchup is pretty even when it comes to facing each others ballclubs. The Giants have owned the rockies the past three seasons(27-9) but they don't own Jorge as his teams record is 9-3 in games he's started against them in his career.

Under 3.5 First 5 inn. PHI Phillies - NY Mets +115

Play on the starting pitching. I feel like it goes under the total for the whole game but I'm not going to risk it with these two bullpens. We'll see. GL everyone!

Pretty standard plays for me nothing exotic. I will always fade a team that wins by 10 or more runs the day before.

rockies have been hot, one of best hitting teams in baseball, but they absolutely struggle vs lefties, especially of bumgarners caliber.. colorado was 15-35 last year vs lefties!! rockies have won 5 games in a row, none started by a lefty.. they will come back down to earth tonight in cold san francisco air with one of the toughest lefties in the game.. heres bumgarners lifetime #'s vs colorado in san francisco:

7ip 0 er 9k's win

rockies arent the same vs lefties and away from home, but i like the under because giants offense isn't hitting well and de la rosa pitches well against them... i got this game at 3-1 SF..

diamondbacks are more fading the pirates.. they cannot hit!!! and the diamondbacks can.. reminds me of the padres/rockies series in coors.. pirates offense just can't keep up in this series.. unless wandy throws 7 scoreless innings should be good, tough ballpark and lineup to do that too.
