Question

Hello everyone. Although I am not new to sports forums, I decided to join covers because my old sports forum just didn't have much discussion any more. It is my hope I can commune with other professional betters here with such a large user base.

I began betting sports about 15 years ago. I went to school for engineering at Waterloo University here in Ontario and MIT. I did not finish at MIT, simply due to financial reasons. It is very expensive to go to school in the US as opposed to Canada. I have a part time job, and supplement my income with sports betting.

I mainly bet on baseball, hockey, and basketball. I avoid NFL due to sharper lines, my lack of knowledge of the sport, and there is simply too few games. I bet singles only using an online book, Pinnacle.

I will post picks here as much as I can. Feel free to enter any discussion. Please keep it mature and professional. Thank you.

I personally flat bet,&#xD;&#xA;and don&#x27;t vary my unit size. For  ease of tracking in this thread, I will&#xD;&#xA;make each unit $100. It does not matter what I personally bet, or what you,&#xD;&#xA;just the unit profit will matter and we can equate our own profit based on our&#xD;&#xA;unit size.&#xD;&#xA;&#xD;&#xA;My personal strategy is&#xD;&#xA;I flat bet my &#x2B;EV picks, and withdrawal the profit at the end of the week. If I&#xD;&#xA;lose, I do not re-calculate my unit size. I have a 50 unit bankroll online, and&#xD;&#xA;I have never had a losing streak that wiped that bankroll out. Sure some weeks&#xD;&#xA;I lose, but never enough to compromise my bankroll. When I first started&#xD;&#xA;betting I had different sizes, big bets, small bets, parlays, etc... and it&#xD;&#xA;just didn&#x27;t work for me. When I started flat betting, and keeping a large&#xD;&#xA;bankroll not only did it make my betting more stable, and profitable, it kept&#xD;&#xA;me sane. When you don&#x27;t have to sweat big bets, or the last leg of a parlay, it&#xD;&#xA;really is a much better feeling. The lack of stress has made it fun again and&#xD;&#xA;it also prevents any tilt or foolish chasing.

MIT~Thank you for joining Covers and I look forward to tailing your plays!BOL here.Just be aware that there are MANY sore losing haters here in Covers -- some of them are paid to be haters, hating just to bring down good cappers, especially when the good cappers go through their inevitable regression periods.So, when those regresssion times hit, just shrug off the haters like water off a duck&#x27;s back, and you&#x27;ll be fine. It&#x27;s best to not give the haters ANY energy of any kind, beit reading their posts and being bothered by them, all the way to arguing with them online by responding to them in your threads.

MIT~YW.And if you want to save time, you can skip posting decimal odds and just go with the moneyline odds system -- hardly anybody here uses the decimal system odds at all.And what you could do if you have any persistent trolls creating trouble in your threads is to go to Covers&#x27; Help Forum, post there and request for Covers&#x27; mods to help you out and they&#x27;ll be glad to help.Be sure to include the link to your threads when you post in Covers&#x27; Help Forums -- that makes it quick and easy  for them to nail the trouble-maker trolls by either "jailing" them or banning them.

Thanks again Mozart. The odds I post are the ml odds, just in decimal format. I include the US odds beside it so people in the US, which I assume makes up the bulk of covers, understand the line.

After 3 days, we have 1 unit of profit. When I bet I always aim for bi-weekly goals (2 weeks). My goals are 7 units every two weeks.

If you can grind 7 units every two weeks, which is 3.5 units per week, and can do it over a year (52 weeks) that yields a profit of 182 units. If you are betting just $100 per unit, you will earn $18,200 profit per year.

Realistically, most of us would like to earn a lot more. If you can get your bankroll to $25,000, that will give you a unit size of $500 (50 units). If you can hit 182 units profit per year, that will give you a yearly profit of $91,000. Most of us would love to earn this per year. You don't have to be a millionaire to have a good life. Set realistic goals. Even if you only make 1.75 units per week profit, and you can bet $500 per unit, that is still $40,500 profit per year.

All your success depends on managing your bankroll, and make good +EV picks. You don't have to be a superstar. Just do well and bet smart.
