2010 SEASON:
177-207, -25.3175 Garbers
YESTERDAY: 6-2,
+7.0475 UNITS
Despite a solid day to close out the month, I'm glad to see
the end of May. What a horrible capping month for me!!!!!
PHILADELPHIA +122 (1.5 units) - Price
seems high. The Phils have hit Hudson. Howard is 13 for 36 (.361) with 5 HR's
and Phils' hitters are a collective .290 off Hudson. In Hamels L5 starts, he has
thrown 33 innings and allowed 34 hits, 9 earned runs (2.45 ERA) with a 27:11
K:BB ratio. Home plate umpire Campos will squeeze both pitchers which I think
will hurt Hudson more. Braves ranked 15th in NL vs/ lefties at
.244.
HOUSTON -118 (1.25 units) - Myers has been very steady of late. In his L7 starts, he has tossed 47
innings and allowed just 15 earned runs (2.87 ERA). He goes deep into games
which helps avoid the Astros' atrocious bullpen. Stammen is sporting a 7.94 road
ERA.
ST. LOUIS -116 (1.25 units) - Third time the Cards are seeing Cueto this season. Walters was
outstanding in Triple A and in his first MLB start. Cards' bats are heating
up.
METS +100 (1.25 units) - Mets have highest average in the NL vs. lefties; Pelfrey is on
fire....LeBlanc is struggling of late (L2, 8 2/3 ip, 15 hits, 12 runs, 4
BB's).
DODGERS -121 (1.25 units) - Haren is in a funk (L4, 25 ip, 37 hits, 23 runs, 10 HR's). Blake, Ethier,
Anderson, Ramirez and Loney are a combined 64-166 (.386) off Haren with 8 HR's.
Ely has been outstanding. In his L5 starts, he has thrown 33 ip and allowed 27
hits, 8 earned runs (2.18 era) with an incredible 27:3 K:BB ratio. The Dbacks
bullpen is possibly the worst in baseball with a collective ERA around 8.
Reynolds left the game last night with a strained quad.
SAN FRANCISCO -119 (1.25 units) -
Giants are 17-10 at home. Rox hitters are 40-214 (.187) off
Zito. Hammel's road ERA is 8.80. Giants are getting healthier.
TAMPA -1.5 RUNS (+113) (1.5 units) -
Niemann has 9 consecutive quality starts and is quietly one
of the best pitchers in the AL right now. Tallet is making his first start of
the season coming off injury. He made on start at Triple A last week and lasted
1 1/3 innings and allowed 9 hits, 8 runs and 2 HR's. Is he really
ready?
KANSAS CITY +104 (1.25 units) - Pineiro's road ERA is 9.78. Bannister's home ERA is 3.41. Royals have
been playing much better under Ned Yost (10-8 their L18).
WHITE SOX -119 (1.25 units) - Rangers are struggling on the road at 8-15 and are 1-6 overall their L7.
Harden just doesn't seem right with 34 walks in 49 innings and a 1.67 WHIP.
Buehrle has 10 2/3 straight scoreless innings and is 11-4 with a 3.07 era in his
career against Texas.
