Rangers +141, Griffin/Dickey
Griffin has been competitive with a 3-1 h2h record and 3-1 quality start
record. Dickey is having trouble at just 2/3 and ¼. The Rangers bring an
offense superior to the Jays. What’s not to like?
Brewers -105, Weaver/Nelson
Weaver is definitely not impressive so far this year and neither is the
Angels offense, but Nelson is the top of the staff for the Brewers and deserves
respect for a 4-1 h2h and 4-1 quality start record. The Brewers offense is also
equal or superior to the Angels and the Weaver/Nelson matchup is worth about 44
cents of line value on its own merits. What’s not to like?
Phillies +158, Hellickson/Wainwright
I am not a big Hellickson fan but bettors should be wary of Wainwright.
For whatever reason he is just 1-4 h2h and 0-5 for quality starts, and, he is
backed by a struggling offense. At the risk of repeating myself, at +159 what’s
not to like?
