 Hey, I am entering data and your boy-love-man-crush Giolito scored his highest point total of the season today. An 86.9. His highest previous was 83.2 in his third start of the season. Maybe he has turned a corner for you. The Twins offensive rating of 39.9 versus righty made them a respectable opponent. 

How much do you factor in the umpire? Ill take the under in every Dreckman game if this dude is looking at a 3 ft wide plate

 First I have to have the numbers, then I will look at the umpire and he may be a considered factor, but only a tilt one way or the other, if the numbers agree. He will not, by himself, create an under with two bad pitchers or an over with two bad offenses.

 Take a look at Musgrove today. Killer. But he lacks consistency from one outing to the next

 Yeah, scored a 91.7, but that was versus a pathetic offense in a great pitchers park. It effects his rating but does not give him "top gun" status. His lesser outings counteract that. 

Kluber got his no hitter and only one walk from a perfect game. I almost feel guilty taking the push.

For those that do not realize how much baseball has changed Goggle what Tony La Russa said to Yermin the Vermin Mercedes for swinging at a 3-0 pitch and hit it out when he was given the take sign in a game they were up 15-4, and to really show the difference the Team sided with the stat driven player that I would bench for a week at least. It is to bad LC is not here to give us the 411 on his thoughts since I know Key will agree with Lance Lynn that those unwritten rules are gone by today players. Also it was a position player pitching so the Vermin took a free shot to build his stats to get some bonuses.

I will never say My White Sox again or watch any games they are on TV playing, Tony has always been a class act and any chance I get on any site I will write how wrong the players are and how La Russa has the older Fans ideas of how the game should be played. You younger Guys and Key I can not speak for since I do not know how you guys feel about Shit like this.

A couple almost perfects this year and one was a strikeout that got to 1st! How much of this is because of the "non juiced" baseball?  Also in a time where we might see 3 perfects this year lets never forget Galarraga the perfect game that got stolen

 So would the info that Dan Marino was Drunk and still trying to get drinks at 2:00 am at Palo Alto Hyatt the night before the SuperBowl in Stanford when The 49ers Crushed the Dolphins in Marino only shot at a SB Win in his second season, for those non Niner Fans look at his #s for that game, he was terrible. The sad part to the story was the Bartenders waiting on him told me that story a week after the game, they bet every penny they had on the 49ers and failed to let me in on it, they paid for every drink that night that they came to me, plus the shit I gave them every chance I had.

You talking about something like that barneybeans but this was SB XIX IN jAN. 1985, Marino did have a good FH and won the F-1/4 but after the 49ers lost that 1/4  10-7 the rest of game they won 31-6 and Miami scored a Goose Egg in second half, wonder how much him being hungover affected that game, but the SF 49ers were the better team anyway and I am sure he thought it was not going to be his only shot at it.

84 season no cell phones or internet to pass this stuff around, would of had to dial or punch in the phone number. Anyone here remember those days.

 Speaking of partying before a Super Bowl, Joe Namath was out all night before SB III and still pulled it off. On a TV show I heard a guy ask Len Dawson (winning QB SB IV) about that and he said "No big deal, I don't sleep well on the road before a big game, so if he doesn't he may as well be out. All I do is read and watch TV, can't sleep." One guys poison is another guys medicine. Another story from ancient times you guys wouldn't know, but I will bet LC knew that.

Its no secret that folks in the clubhouse are privy to good info that sometimes affects the outcome of a game, hidden injury, personal issue such as a starting pitcher finding out that morning his wife was cheating.

That type of inside information used to make it to odds makers who paid nicely. Was very prevalent in college sports too.

Just a little info makes for a sometimes fishy line and the books probably sit on 70% one sided action, not moving the line, in essence taking a position. Which, due to corporate rules, they are not supposed to do.

 SB 23 your niners trained at the U when I was in college there( Bengals at the dolphins facility) and I managed the bball team but helped out at there practices..I could tell how crisp they looked in practice...no money on the game but I did sell 8 tickets to the game for 600 a pop( face was 150) and still went to the game...btw, ever go to an Italian Restaurant called North Beach in San Francisco, yum
