Have you ever seen(in your infinite times) a guy sport a 0.84 FIP and 33.50 so/bb ratio?
@KeyElement
Means was fine as he has been mostly---balty got the its but couldnt get them in and of course they have shyte for relievers...they are a tough team to bet on in about any situation

W/o looking it up I think Woodruff already has 8 or 9 QS's. In fact every start may qualify.

The days of betting starter vs starter FG are long gone.
Starters were never on a pitch count and usually pitched at least 7 2/3 often 8 and change innings. The pen was never taxed and a 2-4 run lead was always safe.
Nowadays for full game you've gotta factor in starters on pitch counts only pitching 5 innings for many reasons, crappy/taxed bullpens, different mindset of batters, juiced balls and I'm probably leaving a few things out...
So many games I've got one side F5 and the opponent FG.
Things sure have changed.

I don't get half credit for laying off the Padres? I did say the streak had to come to an end, and Woodroff would be the guy to do it.
Today is simple:
Giants -1 F5
Cardinals F5 - Giolito throws 1 no-hitter that no one can forget and now he is a fav every time? crazy.
Toronto F5 - Overrated!!! Don't see why the high price. Value bet here

You guys really kick it into gear while the old f**t takes his nap. When I get up it is like catching up with a couple of chapters of War and Peace.

That one is a little scary to me. Yankees took 3 from the White Sox by giving up 0,0,0 the F5 innings, Kluber was one of those.

Yeah? Well, what can I say? Get back in the game. "Faint heart never won fair maiden". I think Willy Shakespeare said that. No point in asking around here though. High brow reading around here is Hustler.

You know another thing we have not talked about yet but it has to be brought up and your right about starter vs starter is not often what your game bets are going to be about, as you say 5 inning max for many of the starters but really anytime after the 3rd inning you can expect to see starters taken out if pitch counts are getting high or they have given up 3 to 5 runs and a couple guys on base in 3rd or 4th inning.
So we are still in the game since it is still early in game and say the score is 4-1 after 5 innings and now you have to keep more stats on bullpens as to who has the ability to shut the team down if the starter has shit the bed so to speak, now I know some are doing live bets on plus odds that they win the game, but one site I used to be on would put up a line for second half of game and if the team you were betting on was down 4-1 you could lose the game by 3 and push. They also offer this bet as a 6 thru 9 play and if played before game starts again you do not have to win the game just lose by less runs than your down after 5 innings of play.Your also able to bet the total for the 4 innings before the game so with the state of relief pitching now maybe these lines should be looked at as a way of getting another way to make money. The problem I had with doing the bets after the 5th inning was lines of course, low scoring games the line could be in low - 200s if you took the over, plus you only had a couple mins to decide and bet before they were off the board.
Just something I was thinking about the other day since it seems like a lot of scoring now in late innings, just curious if anyone else has thought about this as a way to win money.

@JEG53
Believe or not scoring is quite uniform this year, about 1 run per inning. I think trying to make an adjusted bet between innings is a very difficult thing to do, and even if you have the bullpens figured correctly there is no guarantee the manager will use them that way. Beyond the fifth inning most of the game is "iffie" for the bettor and late lines, live plays, etc., probably work to the advantage of the house. If you didn't have the game correctly capped in the first place, what makes you think you do now? Instant knee jerk reactions are not my cup of tea, thank you.
BTW: Through Sunday starters were averaging 5.12 innings per start, so the concept they are being pulled at 3 or 4 innings is incorrect. Bad starters and guys having a rough early game get pulled early, but it is not the norm.

Last nights explosion in runs for Milwaukee was an anomole. That lineup is horse shi! I would take Seattle’s lineup right now over theirs and they are dead last

I was on Corbin as well. 3 walks tonight. Just heard he had given up only two till tonight. Unreal. Didn’t matter. That damn swooping curve from Joey apparently was unhittable.
