I can see the excitement over the Mariners and I have high hopes for them myself, but; I don’t see Ramirez as the proven star Sonny Gray already looks like. 4-1 is admirable but the Mariners are not going to win 80% for the season, with or without King Felix, and there is no Felix on the hill today. He as much as anyone is responsible for 2 of the 4 wins. The A’s are coming out with seven left handed sticks today and with Gray on the hill they are a match for any team with any righty on the hill.
That will do it for today. Sundays can get weird anyway,
being a getaway day and some of the Saturday night players taking the day off. If
I bring this one home and finish opening week 6-2-4 it will be more than satisfactory.
