Hahaha man I hope you don't feel bothered By all these new fans
Not as long as they don't turn into Freddy Kruger when I drop a few! This forum can get vicious at times and you have to have a thick head, strong shoulders and a fearless heart.

^^^^ THIS! I will admit that it got to be some when I went through a ridiculously rough patch earlier this season.
The fact of the matters is... if you wagered two plays, priced at +145, that you felt had win probabilities of 50%, there is still a 25% chance that you go 0-2. But over the long-run... different story. Too many posters (on here) feel the goal is to make money today, and risk too much of their bankroll on any given day, and not for the season.
I spent the first chunk of my career as a trader and learned a lot about money mgmt (from a "gamblers"/risk takers perspective) and expressing views on odds (embedded in securities). I always emphasized to junior analysts/traders that you don't have to be right more than you're wrong to be profitable. But, you needed to ensure that capital that was accessible when opportunities presented themselves (i.e., you can't blow your bankroll).

I so agree and for so much more money...like Apple was at like 13 in 2009 but people were still flooding the stores...how'd that workout? Value and buy when there's blood in the streets-can't wait for the next major correction...

This thread was golden let's enjoy this upcoming nationals/cubs duel regardless...
My main problem was I blew a lot of money trying to recoup my losses the same day as if there weren't going to be more baseball games to look forward to for the rest of the season but reading some responses here I have learned to take it slow and never blow all your bankroll at once. A lot to be learned from some of these cappers.

OK, I think I get it now. If we win it was your brilliant pick and if we lose it was because I don't know diddly squat and just jinxed you. Is that about right?
