i think it's time to debunk this "royals struggle against lefties" myth. i respect key and his picks, he's done a great job, but he's blanket faded the royals every time they face a lefty lately. the royals are 3rd in the league  hitting .270 as a team against lefties this year, 3rd in hits, and 3rd in total bases. they're also top 10 in runs and obp vs lefties. the royals are a team that plays a 7 inning game. if a scrub team like the mariners isn't leading by the 7th inning, the game is over. just because a lot of their better hitters are left handed doesn't mean they cant hit lefties. fade against high end lefties, maybe. but fade against the likes of wandy rodriguez and roenis elias??? the royals 3 best lefties went 5-12 yesterday. i'd take that any day. use cappers like Key as a resource, and a very good one at that. but please, cap the games yourself also. remember, statistics are your friend.
