As for you guys that backed off on the Giants because the juice scared you; are you "add the juice" players? If so, shame on you, you missed a chance to make 44.4% on an investment in a few hours. With flat play you need have the fear that backs you off and if you lost it was just one more flat bet and the odds become irrelevant anyway. There has never, I repeat NEVER, been even one study done that proves adding the juice to favorites is profitable, NOT ONE. Most people do it because it is what they were taught, not because there is any advantage. Bookies love it and encourage you to play that way, and that should raise doubts in your mind immediately, i.e., "what is wrong with this picture?"

The concept of value is the most misunderstood of all as Josh showed. It can apply even to a -1000 favourite.

So all those who make claims like betting on heavy favourites will kill you eventually are wrong. Worse, they think they know something!

The only things that kill you are poor money management and failing to find value. The price you typically play and even the style of bet are trivial compared to these two things

Right on, Key! Love your explanation above. I didn't bat an eye when I saw the juice. Why? Because you made it one of your plays. Simple enough.

I know you take a tremendous amount of time to find the "gems" in the schedule each day. It's a daily grind handicapping like you do. You don't post your plays haphazardly.They are the best plays you feel have the highest probability of success. 

While I'm on the "Money Ball" train late, I'm happy I've jumped on when I have. Let's keep this going!

I think by laying the full odds and playing the full game I have the greatest possibility of cashing a ticket whether it pays 63 cents on the dollar (Tigers), 44 cents on the dollar (Giants), or 108 cents on the dollar (Dbax). The object is to cash the ticket. jmho.

High juice scared me a lil so a small bet on SF ml but then parlayed SF to StL and Parlayed SF to Az $$$ Thanks Key for a profitable Sunday

I suspect Covers will keep on banning you for this open solicitation of bookmaking activities. They have to protect the interests of their PAID advertisers (e.g., the online sportsbooks.)
