Orioles: I really
don’t like the BoSox late inning heroics, especially not after last night and
also because I am already holding my nose backing Bud Norris, who is only
slightly better than Jake Peavy at this point in time. But the early game is a
little better story. The BoSox have scored over my benchmark of 32.1 only 3
times versus the last 15 righty starters they have faced and post only 3 earned
runs per 9 innings versus that group. The Orioles are much better of at 10
games over the benchmark and 5.6 earned runs per nine.
Atros: Of all the
picks I posted yesterday the Astros drew the fewest comments, as if they don’t
exist, or you boys were just excusing my senility. Reality check: The Astros provided not only 2 of the 4 wins but won
the most convincingly, and at the greatest return per dollar of
risk. I don’t care, go ahead, ignore me and think it was a fluke or
they just got lucky. Bettors are not quite as stupid today and are not moving
the line as much in our favor as they did yesterday, but only because they hate
the Diamondbacks almost as much as the Astros. The Astros are still under
valued in what is essentially a tossup pitching match up, but they do hold a significant
offensive advantage, and that is not solely based on what they did yesterday,
capice?
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

Love the Balty pick. Do agree on Houston returning the most profit/risk.Yet, I still can not get behind them on this one.
But........
Hou/Arz Under 9 looks more promising.
Considering both pitchers have improved over their last 3 starts, respectively. And both ball clubs do not hit RHP as well as they hit LHP. I mean not a huge difference in %'s, but enough to skew the R/9 enough to keep this Under that great line of 9. Love getting that odd number(9) on an under vs. an 8.5. Huge difference between those numbers. Just like buying off of a key number in football, ie 3 or 7.
anyway, always enjoy ur posts. gl

I will resist the temptation to get on Houston so you guys can win.
I do expect a contribution from all of you to my favorite charity when Christmas rolls around.
Speaking of Christmas what was the deal with T Bay being -200 this morning. And they lost 3-0. We should all have been there on that one big time. T Bay is in a double figure losing streak. Price is 4-6.

santefeken - like a lot of things it was only "easy" after it was over. Going in Ramirez was 2-5 h2h and 2-5 quality start. Price was 9-4 and 11-2, numbers that are hard to argue with and Seattle playing early on a getaway day.
Tiger - thanks for your support, jump on a grenade for the boys, huh?
cjm2008 - Just wait til they have a really nice run and 20 guys on the board will tell you "I told you first" but the trick is to get them on the way up, not after, when the lines have caught up.

Don't know how the public can back the BoSox in this one. Probably because of a recent Sox win in det (who's slumping) and a MLB televised "smackdown" of the Birds by the A's. Don't think "Big Jake" Peavy can control this team the way the KazMan did. Marchardo gotta lighten up (Francis)........
