Twins: Play to -139: It looks like the bettor’s universe is ready to jump right on another Tiger’s bandwagon, BUT: Facts are facts. Verlander is not Price. He is not black, he is not left handed and he has yet to post a quality start or a win in four attempts this season. Combined with his 14-18 quality start record from last year that makes him 14-22 and means that he has only a 39% chance of giving you a quality start. Now look at the Tigers, seriously. They are 15-3 when Price takes the ball and 29-38 (.433) when anyone else does, including 14-16 on the road. Does that look like a bandwagon we are ready to jump on? Santana is not a popular player, never has been, but his quality starts with the Braves last year were 17-14 and he is off to a 1-0 start with the Twins. The offenses are much more comparable than you might imagine as well, with the Tigers showing 8 of 15 quality performances their last 15 versus righty and the Twins coming in at 7.
