Red Sox: Play to -129: Miley is one of a half dozen BoSox players, and
almost the only starting pitcher, that has actually carried his weight this
year. Duffy is as Duffy has always been, a ton of unfulfilled promise. Sixty
feet away the BoSox have scored 7 quality starts versus lefty their last 9,
including 5 straight with an 11.51 offensive earned run average.
Rays: Play to +/- 0: Of Archer’s 6 sub-par performances this year none
are back to back to back with another and he got his fanny handed to him at
Arlington last time out. His 5th low performance of the year was
followed by 5 straight far above the standards for quality performance and I
expect him to bounce back the same way this time. This is not some unproven
rookie I am talking about, this is a legit Cy Young contender. The Astros are
winners, and winners versus righty, but are squeaking out those wins lately
with only two quality offensive performances their last 12 and a current
projected oera of just 2.6 per nine.
