Yankees: Play to -105: They really shouldn’t get ridiculous about these
things. Yes, Keuchel is a C.Y. contender, but his offense can’t hit a bull in
the arse with a banjo these days and they can’t slip in 1 run in the bottom of
the 9th for another walk off. If Nova ever wants a no-no or perfect
game this is one of the best opportunities he will ever see.
Royals: Play to -151: If no one has noticed the demise of Gonzalez and
the resurgence of Duffy this game should serve as a wakeup call. Coupled with far
better offense in this one it should be cruise control from early on for the
Royals.
Cubs: Play to -158: I don’t know why a legit C.Y. contender was not
worthy of the All Star team two years in a row but I will keep pounding away at
it until some guru wakes up and calls the attention of N.L. managers to this guy’s
cause. After that he will probably become a staple on the All Star roster and
the expert talking heads that have said a word can argue about which one of THEM
discovered him. Anyway the Cubs are legit and have one of the highest power
ratings and odds advantages with Arrieta on the hill and facing a mediocre
righty that is imaginable. The Cubs can smell the playoffs and, yes Virginia,
there is a Santa Claus. They will get there.

stros are one of the most high powered offenses in the American league.... What happen to oil will sink below water and these things will even themselves out! Anyways gl! Stros for me
Sure, they have a great offense, but why would it straighten itself out tonight? They have scored just 17 earned runs their last 94.2 innings versus right handed starters. Offensive era versus right handed starters 1.62 for last 14 games. And, they are just 2-7 last 9 on the road versus righty. What are you smokin these days packers?

Quote . Flat betting is pitifully ridiculous unless you have no confidence in your ability to handicap games, or you are a rookie. Think about it, if you handicap one game that the line is way off, and your success percentage is very high, are you going to bet the same amount on a game with a marginal edge?, or are all the games you handicap coincidentally with the exact same margin of success. Flat Betting will minimize you chance of long term success, and make the down swings less affordable.
Just curious on your take on the 2nd of another poster's commandments.

You don't have to yell to make yourself heard. As for "another posters" comments, who is he? What evidence does he have? Make a real argument or I don't give a rat's patootie what he has to say. Unsubstantiated arguments are one of Covers worst features. Next thing you know someone will resurrect the old "Kelly Criterion" or the "Double up until you win" nonsense. Money management is part of winning, but not systems and schemes to exponentially alter the probability. BOL

The vagaries of baseball strikes yet again. All damage done with 2 outs. There is just no telling when a pitcher will implode, even facing an offense that has really been scuffling as of late on the road.

Not really defending the dude but 2.5 runs in the past 20 games with the aid of a DH is literally the opposite of what offensive juggernaut means.

If anyone watched Nova pitch vs the stros, houston absolutely laid off of every one of his breaking balls. I'll assume the hitting coach and film study found a way for the guys to recognize it. One of many small intricacy's baseball has to offer, and near impossible to cap or predict when such things will happen. I also thought Nova was in a good spot to pitch well. Wasn't the case, move on to the next play.
