I'm not buying the whole "fade the playoff teams" theory I keep reading in threads on Covers. This evening we have two of the top National League pitchers on the hill against two team that have nothing left to play for. At this point they can't even play "spoiler". The Reds just dropped 7 straight at home and now go on the road to face PITTSBERG and their ace left-hander LIRIANO! The Pirates are still contending for home field advantage! SAMPSON 2-1 (6.46-ERA) has gone fewer than 5 inning in his last 11 starts. Sunday against the Mets he allowed 5 runs and 8 hit in just 2-2/3 inning of an 8-1 loss. On MLB website he was quoted saying, "my fastball just isn't there anymore. This is the first time I've ever pitched into September." Lighth him up Buccs!!!!!
As for the BREW CREW, they lost last night to the PADRES in San Diego and will be returning home after a 10 game road trip where they went 5-5. PENA (3.9-ERA) will take the hill for MILWAUKEE. He's only pitched past the 5th inning once this season. ARRIETA is 10-0 (0.44- ERA) in his last ten games and is going for a franchise best 11 straight wins!!!! And let's not discount the CUBS lumber at the plate! They are still killing it!!!!!
I could take the easy MONEY LINE picks here and leverage a ton to get back an once. But I've had fairly good luck with the RUN LINE this month; so I'm going with:
***********(2 ) TeamParlay***********
CUBS -1.5 / PIRATES -1.5
I'm leveraging $300 to win $692.31.
As always.......GL

i like it I'm doing the same I'm just not too sure about the cubs run line...not a lot of blow out games in september.
The Cubs will keeps their starters in to ensure a safe lead for Arrieta while he goes for his 11th straight win! And I think they give him plenty of run support too.

Just looked at the board!!!! Pirates got bases loaded and no outs, score is now 4-2 and the bullpen is about to get destroyed! Let's see if the Buccs can cover the tune line after all! Lol. Ya never know!
