Gerrit Cole, will keep this game close. Who he absolutely does not want to throw to is Kyle Schwarber. Schwarber sees the ball very well out of his hand and better than any other bat I witnessed this year. Violent contact off the bat.
Arrieta will outpitch Cole. The pirates just cannot pick up his slider. Not 1 or two guys but hitters 1-9. Watch the pirates look unconfident and uncomfortable at the dish all night long against him. 10 ks coming off his slider on Wednesday night.
Impact draft kings or fan duel players, Schwarber & Arrieta.
Cubs won more games than any other NL team since the All Star break. Riding a 8 game winning streak heading into playoffs.
Cubs -130 & under 6

Agree On Cubs bc of Arrietta thinking OVER 5.5 tho why do you like the under I think UNDER 1st 5 is good but once he comes out and cole comes out i feel things will change.. Let me know just picking your brain because after a great few weeks this week brought me back to even and monday seahawks -9.5 lost BIG then Yankees tonight LOST EVEN BIGGER!! crazy because i loved the Under tn but those 2 teams scare me can both score quick.. Need to get a winner to get back in Green and have some room for the weekend

Dude.. I feel sick from the Seattle game.. bloody fumble.. I had teaser -4.. I thought they would at least win by 6 or 7..
Russell Wilson is not a 22 million dollar QB.. His defense wins him games..
Enough with NFL... Cubs win this.. both CY Young Pitchers take their team to respective DS games

These guys can't touch Arietta. . Guys is basically unhittable. . I know the playoffs are a different animal but the guy is $$$$$... cubs take this one in the eventual battle of the bullpen

Same situation here, that Seattle game was clear as crystal to me. I usually post 20-30 minutes before game time. Earlier on my Instagram and Twitter accounts. mybestbet & @mybestbet

if it gets to the bullpens tied, I think it favors the Pirates. Huge Pirates' fan. I took Arrieta first 5 innings. If Cole and Arrieta don't factor in the decision I think it swings back over to the Pirates. They are at home and can stall 3 innings with Soria, Watson, Melancon. Maybe 4 innings with Bastardo. I know the Cubs also have a good pen but I don't think it's as deep.

Both pitchers will go deep into this game. Your looking at a 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-2, 3-1 ball game here. Pens and other starters are out of the equation for this game. I have watched every single pirates vs cubs game this year. Last time out for Cole vs Cubs @ PNC, Cubs scored 1 in the first and did Jack Sh!t off him until the pirates pen blew the lead late. Hammel was the Cubs pitcher that game. I'm Telling you right now to pay close attention to Schwarber vs Cole tmw night. Watch the catcher run out to calm Cole down. He gets very nervous with Schwarber at the plate. Not with Bryant, Not Rizzo, Not Castro, Schwarber scares the sh!t out of him. Schwarber sees a beach ball coming at him with Cole on the bump. Suprising because Cole is nasty. For the record, I am not any more of a cubs fan than I am a pirates fan. I have no favorite teams in any sport. I am only loyal to my wallet.
Odds makers are simply banking on you seeing that 5.5 and think, "thats easily going over, only need 6 to cover" The thing with baseball and pitching is. The hitter will always have to react to what you throw. If i'm hitting my spots and changing speeds enough, with the umpire giving me 2 inches off the black. Your not making solid contact. on Avg. a major league batter will get 1 good pitch to hit per plate appearance. Thats why sometimes you see a batter take a pitch that looks crushable to you. Your saying to yourself, "why did he not swing at that ball." Because a major league hitter is conditioned to know where his crush zone is. The area of the plate where he unloads if that pitch comes to that area. Anything else is just weak contact, rollovers and popups. He would be giving away at bats if he made attempts on pitches out of his crush zone.
So to finish, the pitcher knows where your crush zone is and what you struggle with because of scouting reports. Arrieta and Cole have swing and miss stuff and hit their location. For the record I work with and develop high school pitchers and younger. I'm not a teacher, just a pitching coach. Thats all I did growing up was pitch. It helped put me through school until I had Rotator cuff surgery in 2002. Its been painful to throw ever since. I always look at games through the eyes of a pitcher.
Cubs moving on, under 5.5

@mybestbet - Just for the record any total that was at 5.5 or lower in postseason history has gone over every single time. Yes both pitchers are shutdown, but one 2 or 3 run shot and the under is in huge trouble. I definitely will be taking over 5.5 along with the Cubs.

For those concerned about the game left in the hands of the pens tonight.
Maddon just might put John Lester on the bump after Arrieta. He knows his pen has a slight disadvantage. He has a brilliant mind for coaching and he's not scared to make quick decisions or bat the pitcher 8th or place defensive shifts at a higher rate than any other team. It's everyone be ready tonight! Not oh sh!t, I'm forced to use my pen. Hendricks, Lester, hammel, haren, strop, grimm, Rodney, etc. The security guard by the ball girl down lines. Every body's available.

And thanks for putting it into perspective i grew up w some studs that are on the big stage now 2 of them actually will be pitching within the next week 2 young kids from LI NY and my pops a huge baseball fan it makes a lot of sense that being said i still think under 3 thru 5 is more valuable then under 5.5 bc the way your talking about pitchers are the 2 predictable ones we KNOW 100% will be playing and they should both get through 5-6 inn minimum
