the official scorer can change they way he makes a call on a player reaching (error or hit).....but he cannot overturn a safe/out call by an umpire.........not entirely sure on the league's powers.........you can file a protest, but I believe that only effects a team if they ultimately lose after a bad call.......which the Tigers did not.......sadly I believe this one is in the books

It doesn't even matter if it's overturned or not. How could you replay that kind of emotion if you hear later in the week that..."Oh...it's been overturned. You get your perfect game." That doesn't compare in the slightest.

He's got the most over the top strike calls in the league.

I think it can be changed.  Hits are often changed to errors after the game and vice versa.  But an out, that might be a different story.  Selig will likely protect "the human element" in the game.  He's such a douche.

I remember last season when the Yanks faced the Marlins. Some defensive changes were made and a guy taken out went back into the outfield...a pitch was thrown...and then Girardi complained. The Yanks lost and he filed a complaint. It didn't do anything...but I don't know exactly what would have happened if he did win. So if they filed a complaint here...I don't know what could possibly happen.

Just think about it...if they complained about this...than every team would complain about calls missed in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th inning and if they were indeed blown calls, then what happens? It just wouldn't work.

I live 30 mins outside of Detroit, I think I am going to go downtown and try to start a riot over this.  It probably woudn't be too hard, there are a lot of broke, pissed off people downtown already ready to rumble.  LOL.
