People taking the Rangers today...SMH

First let me say I have no action on today's game. 

I'm not willing to lay -220 in the playoffs even though I am pretty confident in the Jays.  What I don't understand is why people feel so confident in the Rangers.  Sure they have a good record for the second half of baseball, but look at who they are facing today.  Did you not learn anything from the wild card games?  Arrietta and Keuchel completely shut down the other team.  Great pitching is what wins in the post season, and it doesn't get much better than Price.  The Rangers will by stymied today; expect a relatively comfortable Jays victory.

And Price is 0-3 in postseason play against the Rangers and they have a history of hitting Price.  AND Gallardo is 2-0 against these Bluejays this year, AND is the perfect pitcher to go against this team.  Keeping the ball down as he has against them this year is key to neutralizing Torontos power.

Don't sell short this Rangers team....so I think with all that said, the Rangers at +200 is a much better bet than Toronto ai -214.

YOU DO REALIZE THAT HAS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF RELEVANCE ON TODAY'S GAME, DON'T YOU???  Price is a completely different pitcher this year.  Both teams are totally different.  Arrietta was a sub-.500 pitcher in Baltimore.  Was that reason to take the Pirates last night?? Come on.

PRESSURE IS ON JAYS TO GET THIS GAME 1 WITH HAMELS PITCHING TOMORROW. RANGERS HAVE LESS PRESSURE ON THEM AND THEY HAVE GALLARDO AND A RESTED BULLPEN (WHICH WAS A BIG STRENGTH THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON)

RANGERS WIN 6-3

I just don't make stupid wagers, no matter how I feel about them.  Laying -220 on a playoff game would qualify as a "stupid wager" no matter what the outcome is. 

On a side note, the Rangers missed their chance in the first inning.  Price is dialed in now.  They needed at least one run that inning, came away with none after the Fielder double play.

If one side is a "stupid wager", wouldn't it make the other side a "smart wager"?  There's only two outcomes here.

The thing I've noticed about Blue Jay fan is that they seem to think they have won the World Series already. Blue Jan fan is generally a bandwagon, homer fan that doesn't closely follow all of Major League Baseball. They follow their team and don't have a clue about teams like the Kansas City Royals and know even less about National League clubs like the St. Louis Cardinals and LA Dodgers. Again, not all Blue Jay fans (guys like Weeble know baseball), but a majority of Toronto fans are not the guys to go to for their biased handicapping advice.
