76.5 .... IMO this number is a little low... Weak division.. Some young players primed to move up on both the pitching staff and position players.. Cruz back all year and some promising young arms to supplement Keller... Bullpen looks strong... Got a feeling Bucs surprise many this year..

Look for them to be good again first part of the season and once trade deadline comes around to go downhill. I don’t know, but what I just read as far as a preview on them for the year is that they signed some guys, all for one year contracts just to be pawns for prospects come trade deadline.

A few possible trade bait players were signed in the off season but the core of this Pirate team is in its young guys just coming into their own...

Trust me they will terrible. That starting rotation could easily fall apart quickly.
Hence that's why the low win total.. But have some promising potential young arms in the pipeline.. Jones.. Ortiz.. Skenes.. Keller.. with a mix of average vets.. Martin.. Faller... ect... The pen is solid... More banking on them improving at the plate.. Cruz is a difference maker and have some other good young hitters waiting to blossom this year.. Trust me...

I agree if the young bats can kick ass sorta like Cincy last year. The bull pen should be solid.Keller has to be awesome but I dont see the other young arms making a difference this season. The rest of the starting rotation is very scary.
Bottom line is from a fan perspective,I refuse to support this ownership.

@ArtSchlichterJr Good luck. When do you think Skenes will be called up?
Not long before hes called up IMO... As soon as one year extension on contract kicks in.. He has shown he is ready and lets face it Bucs will not pass on his gate draw.. First game a lock for a sellout.. If he shines ...gate on...

Sad to say this man is probably right, so many times they start out with some promise then they just collapse after the all star break, but I hope not this year and you win your bet.

Actually this is totally off base... This teams core is tied up for the next 4 years or so.. The "pawns " they have are not tied into their future .. They did break down last year but still covered their team win total.. Injury to Cruz hurt and starting pitching woes.. This year adding Jones and Skenes and a better year from Ortiz and others make this a much different team.. Not a WS team but like the 76.5 number..
