Diehard Bucs fan here i am usually spot on & very honest when it comes to my teams win total i said 80 or 81 before the season started & i am still sticking with that even with Jones & Skenes. There offense is just not good enough to streaky & of course our cheap owner won't spend $ to get an extra bat or two here. People getting excited cause they at .500 right now just because they swept the worst team in the league doesn't mean anything to me. Several teams are just like them floating around .500 except none of them have Skenes & a super hot Bryan Reynolds.

Jones is just a lat strain. They may keep him out the rest of this month, but will be back sooner than later. Til then Marco Gonzales back is a big boost and Ortiz doing great in starting role so far.
Banned for using a burning $ emoji. Lol. TRUMP 2024!!!

Agree Ortiz was a up and comer before last year added a splitter off season and has been nails in long relief and two starts.. Potential upgrade from the Fall man at the end of the day.. Perez and Gio hold the ship for a few weeks..

These all sound like nagging injuries.Trust me these guys will be missing more in the season. As far as Ortiz,he has been pitching well.but will regress. There is no way in hell this pitching staff improves in the 2nd half. There will be more injuries as well.I predict the Succos will fall apart.

I hear ya,they have the second lowest payroll in mlb. However I do think team management was better 12 years ago.I dont see this team ever doing anything with Nutting.Nutting is the main reason this organization is a joke.

If they spent $ the guy has if he wanted to, they could have Taillon, Glasnow, Cole, etc..
Well not quite accurate... Glasnow had nothing to do with money he was a head case here and a bad pitcher when we traded him in a 3 for 1 trade (horrid trade but not money related he was making peanuts)... Gerrit was done with the pirates no amount of money would have kept him here and what the Yanks paid him.. Well see ya Gerritt... He had a huge start for the Bucs in a playoff win or go home vs the Giants.. 3 runs in 1st.. See ya cryer Gerritt... Tallion just is not worth what he got .. Average with us like he still is now... But Nutting is a cheap dog...

@aron25 With all respect, Marco Gonzales sucks! But, he doesn’t suck more than that overrated hack Ke’bryan Hayes! The Pirates do have a special player in Bryan Reynolds. I hope he gets traded to a World Series contender before trade deadline. He would really improve Seattle Mariners in one of the corner outfield positions. TIP
Chance of that happening ZERO NADA... In Pirates long term plan... Signed sealed delivered...

Why would he (Reynolds) do that! Does he not have a dream to play in a World Series? Pirates long way off from winning NL Central! Reynolds could get huge money from Atlanta or maybe even Houston! Seattle or Arizona would be a great fit.
