Well, my opinion was based on a story Bob Costas did about 5 years ago...but hey, I guess I'm a fuckin retard and Costas knows less about sports than you do. Congrats, "BRO"!

Guilty Pleasure? I don't know either.

No hater here, but I think the huge payroll and buying all the talent they can........ turns folk off! And I can see where the smaller market teams are coming from! But they aint breaking any rules while doing so! If anyone of us had the doe and owned a sports team wed do the same!
I understand that part of the hate, but to hate and laugh at players when they get hurt bad like Tex did that is just inhuman and pathetic.
As far as the payroll, yes they are not breaking any rules, this conversation has been going on since i started on this site in 06, the same people talking about that same shit. The shitty part is it will never stop on this site and the hatred for the Yanks will never stop. The Yankees YES network rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars, the Yankees spend money to make there fans happy and try to win every year. There are not many franchises that give back to there fans like the Yankees. Do we overpay for some players, yes, i will not deny that nobody will. But if you are preventing an elite player from going to a competitor then you have to do what you have to do...

Come on, even if every citizen of Kansas City was a crazed fan, they still couldn't come close to matching the dollars NYC pulls in. The argument that Yankees fans are better is just fuckin retarded. Besides, the spending power alone that NYC commands because it asks twice as much for everything just demonstrates how little you know about the economy of baseball.
GO TREANOR....LOL.

*sigh*...Bob Costas ran a story based on fact and the numbers...I'm pretty sure Steinbrenner dropped a load when he saw that one. You're probably the same guy who argues against having a playoff system in college football because that's based upon opinon too, eh?

I love when people bring up the $450 million. It's like they think the Yankees wrote a check for $450 million and just gave it to them. That money is being paid over how many years? That was after Abreu, Giambi, Mussina and Pavano were all off the books.

Hey coal miner, Bhenry...I'll see tickets to any kind of sports debate you'd like to have between you and Costas. Now get back to work and go mine some coal, ya retard.

Why would Steinbrenner ever care? You can give all the numbers and facts you want...but there will NEVER be ANYTHING done about it in Major League Baseball.
