It's almost here! It's almost time for baseball which means it's almost summer time which means no more fucken snow! I can't wait to watch some baseball. Let's get to the predictions....
American League
East
This division could be easily predictable or a surprise. The only way we get surprised is if the Blue Jays somehow do the unimaginable and win the division. But that won't happen because this is one of the most over hyped and worthless bets in a long time. Their pitching is much worse than most believe it to be. They have a Cy Young winner in Halladay, an injury prone Burnett, a pitcher who seems to switch between good & bad every season in McGowan & an unproven Litsch. Marcum is the only one I don't have a read on.
The Orioles will be horrific to say the least, just a very bad team. The Devil Rays are impressing me, I like what they're building and if they can keep their talent, that young scrappy team could be very good in a couple years. The Yankees are, well, the Yankees. I honestly think we'll see Giradi fired at year's end. His personality just does not mesh with this team's laid back approach. Then there's the Red Sox. They have a great offense, they have great pitching & they have great coaching. There really is no reason why this team can't repeat as division champions. The juice to play them just isn't worth it.

Central
This division may have the closest race at the end of the year. The obvious candidates for the division are the Indians & Tigers. Tigers have improved quite well and may actually score 8-10 runs a game. Their pitching is improved and despite the bad numbers from last year, I really like their chances this year. I think they win this division by 5 games when it's all said & done. The Indians are a very good team and worth a wildcard spot but I just don't think their lineup is potent enough to compete with the Tigers. They could improve that rotation too.
I like the White Sox to rebound nicely, perhaps steal a few wins from the above two teams. Last year they had the pitching but the lineup was worse than ever it seemed. They've improved the lineup and I think we should see an adequate bounce back. Twins are a write off, they may always be that team that does well regardless but not anymore, losing Santana & Garza is just too much. The Royals are always awful, end of story.

West
The Angels are the easy winner in this division but there's something about them that just doesn't feel right to me. I can't put my finger on it because they have a good team in every aspect but they just rub me the wrong way when it comes to being a World Series contender. The Mariners are the fashionable pick of the year as a contending team and why not? This team was much better than anticipated last year, they improved the rotation & they have the best all around player in the majors, Ichiro, on their team. They may surprise a few teams but need 1 more year to win this division.
The Athletics, no matter how much the idiots in this forum hype them, are not a good team. They're just plain awful. The Rangers too, I feel bad for Rangers fans, have you ever had anything to cheer for?

They are currently 15-5 in Spring training and definitely under the radar.(winning now is giving this young group confidence) Believe it or not this team is very well balanced. Keys: Health to Harden, Chavez and Crosby. If this occurs they will win more then the 74 O/U Vegas has them slated for currently! I think both the Angels and Mariners are in for a season long battle with the Green and Gold!!
