 A good many people are not sold on the Jays, and know nothing about Kay. The Jays are coming off a critical home series versus the Yankees and threw everything they had at them. They had to be desperate to give the ball to Kay tonight, and may be out of gas after the critical series. I would not be too quick to judge Junis either. The Royals did a lot of tweaking with their young arms this spring and it looks to be paying off. Junis first start he got through 5 innings on 58 ptches and looked sharp. None of this is as simple as good team versus bad team. Competitive game coming and so far Junis is drawing the money. Tempted myself. Anyone else want to contribute his two-bits?

Yesterday was interesting, that a team(Toronto) had a get away day leaving home but not playing at home.

Today, a weird last second pitching decision.

An ump with a giant strike zone.

Nothing about this game is enticing me to play it in any fashion personally.

 very good points. I said screw it and took a shot on jays -1.5 at +170 The degen in me needed some action as this is my night off and the other games dont seem that appealing to me.

The Tigers and A's feature 2 of the worst 4 bullpens in MLB and neither starter inspires much confidence. In the past 3 games for each team the total has ended up 8 or over all 6 times. So there's my bet.

 I dunno sac, with 72% of bettors liking the over and a big zone ump behind the plate, the under is a little tempting. I'm not going to play it, but it is tempting. One of those things to observe. Books are not scared of that 9, the under is carrying the juice.

The books are posting a lot of 8's and 8.5's this year. They know the ball is back to normal.

If anyone just watched Patrick Corbin, you can't convince me that he didn't have covid. The guy's velo has been naturally fading the last 2 years. But these last 2 outings of his he has had literally nothing on any of his pitches. His body language is terrible, he shouldn't be out there.

He's going to lose to a guy with an ERA above 10. And that's baseball

Detroit is hitting the crap out of the ball. But funny things happen to players after travel. I always pause when backing a team in their first road game of a series.

My model said 9.7, but I didn't believe it for a minute. 

And when you refer to the A's having a "quiet" 5 game win streak, that is not surprising. Like the Royals, no one pays any attention to the A's. If the Yankees or Cubs won 5 straight some folks would be willing to hand them the trophy.
