a 200 ml fave is comparable to a 6 pt fave in NBA is it unbeatable? Hardly the case just look at yesterday with boston. You will find that 80% of time those heavy faves are on public teams...sox,yanks,cubs,mets,det....the only way to make $$$ long term on those is to cut your juice and play run lines. Having said that often those big faves do not deserve to be big faves so you really have to crunch the #'s...teams in the top 10 in runs(when they win ) win 80% by run line so it is probably worth taking a RL shot if you like em
nice post....thanks man

kubidubidoo -- All I got right now is no plays on the Arizona/Philly game. I'm working on the others if you are still around.
losernation -- yeah, I am really looking forward to it because it is going to give me a chance to do some real hardcore analysis of how to best pick plays for the second half.

lanastasis. I think your attitude is great and I can tell you are an unusually great guy - I don't want to flatter you too much - but I was impressed by you telling people not to tail you.
It has been a strange few weeks since interleague started this last time- a ton of blown saves, errors, bad baserunning, etc.
The bottom line is that you are still up over 40 units - how many people can say that?

DWN -- Thanks for the kind words. I know a lot of people were/are tailing even if they don't mention it and I don't want any one losing unnecessary money. These slumps can be completely unforeseen but sometimes there's no telling when they will end so I don't anyone losing right now. That being said, I am very confident this will end very soon and we will be riding this train at full speed again very soon.

Lets hope the Mets keep cruisin!!! I predicted they would win 10 in a row, and I predict Lanny will go 150 Units on the year. And Abaum buys his own home in cash.

Eddie -- I can drink to that, man. I love the way you talk and think.
thatsagoodone -- Pedro's splits at home are fabulous the last 3 years and Jimenez is not as effective on the road. Mets are heating up and this is a bargain for them, imo. Good luck with whatever you decide, though.

Each year, 73,000 Americans become sick from undercooked beef and 2,100 are hospitalized from food poisoning, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Lets hope Todd Jones is one of them.

Had cubs -1.5 for over 3K to get even for the week. Ahead 7-0 going to the 8th and 7-2 going to the 9th. Can't believe it, I have lost so many like this - Florida ahead 13-4, Col ahead 8-3 (vs. weak hitting SD) , someone else ahead 5-0 going to the bottom of the 9th and giving up 6 runs - all of these are pretty recent - WTF!
Wasn't there another reliever than Marmol????
Cubs do things like this when I bet them big!!!!!! Marmol makes me miss Kerry Wood who has lost games that killed me (and lanastasis). Sorry I just wanted to bitch - does this shit happen every year in baseball or is this a little unusual?

whenever you see -240 lines be prepared for a moose...baseball is rigged like the nba and others and when the public see's games like cubs -240 rich harden something will happen and it did...stay away from one sided games; either way books win most people played the -1.5 sucks but hey....stay away from the "OBV" plays.

Thx for the info and I totally agree to never bet big favorites , I rarely do (I usually take the dog - had Balt last night) , but do you really think it is rigged? That 9th inning was mostly infield hits, seeing eye grounders, misplayed grounder, etc.
SFG have scored like 4 runs in 44 innings before scoring 7 runs in 2 innings. I agree you stay away from those games - same BS story though,I was stuck, it is an early game (should have just done 5 inning bet, Harden is awesome and the SFG guy sucks bad, 7-0 early, Chicago's bullpen screws me on big bets). I also live by SF and know how bad the SFG suck when they start going bad - they do play hard though, pitching sucks except for Lincecum, Sanchez and the closer.
I just can't beleieve every time there is a really bad moose the last 3 weeks - over 5 runs, I have the losing side - at least 0-5. Cubs win by 1, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.Difference of about 7K for me, I don't ususally bet more than about 200 or 300, put 3000 on -1.5 to try and get even.
