It's nice to look at a game and think, "Wow, this a nice spot for Team X."
Then, you see the line move 10 cents or more in that direction, a few cappers thinking the samething, and you thinking, "I'm not taking Team X---I'll go with Team Y."
Team X and Team Y represent 2 different teams, and are not real team names, before someone asks me who Team Y is.
Don't get it twisted, I know exactly what you are saying. I just hardly ever use line movement as a way to pick games. This can be a profitable angle, but no matter how much the line moves, the team that goes out an executes the best is going to win.
To each their own

I see capping a sports bet......in the same vein as evaluating a poker hand. But no bluffing a sports bet.....unless you're B. Walters
Yeah they are definitely somewhat the same.
Anyone can sportsbet or play poker, but it takes years and years of trial and error and evaluating to improve and put yourself in the most profittable position that you can.
I think thats what we are all trying to do

That was a "great" line! "it's more fading the false perception of a game than fading myself...."
That is so true, and there are those who just don't understand exactly what you mean.
By the way, nice run! GL
You can not tell its false until the game goes final. Its fading the "majority". Perception is not true nor false until a match goes final. So before a match begins, you can not tell if the perception is true, nor false, hence perception or theory. Perception or theory is proven once an outcome has been proven and or completed. The quote showed a confident assumption. It seems to be winning.

I understand what you're saying, too.
Just for kicks, keep track of how many games you like, the forum also seems to like, and also has a 10 cent line or more line move in the same direction. Keep track of the wins and losses on paper without betting them.

My area is televising the Phillies/Braves game on FOX and the MLB.TV Premium blacks out the other games during this time slot.
Does anyone have a different way to watch the White Sox/Twins game?
I watch my games at the casino and I've been told that FOX holds the rights to ALL MLB games on Saturday, so many games get blacked out. I hate FOX. The casino gets several feeds and they've not been able to work around the FOX block.
Congrats on your Yank wins today, SJP. I'm a Yank fan and picked a hell of a day to fade -em... took a beating on my picks (Rays ML, Rays RL, Rays ML and Over), but an at-the-window addition of the Rays RL (+1.5 and the Over as insurance) saved my ass today, so I broke even, barely.
And about that kid who fugg'n returned Jeter's awesome 3,000th hit homerun... ugh, huge, huge mistake on the kid's part!
Don't get me wrong -- he had great reasons to return it and the Yanks were nice to give him nice freebies... but they PALE compared to the probable half-million bucks that the kid could have gotten, if he had held it for the highest bidder.
Huge mistake! The kid would have been set for his damn life! And what do you think that MLB runs on, "honor", "for-the-love-of-the-game"? Hell, no!
**MONEY** is what runs baseball, not to mention other things, not to mention one's own life... so to compare a few freebies from the Yanks and a half-million frigg'n bucks, it's a NO BRAINER for me... I'd take the money, thank you.
I'm taking the Over, plus Boston and the Over in the Boston game.

Did you know this is a gamble too to judge who the hell are any of these strangers...lol...unless you have the inate ability to know like a psychic.
I don't really care who you are, or what you look like. Therefore, when I judge you, even if I'm wrong it means nothing to me.
Judging by your weird comments, you seem weird. So I'd prolly avoid you in real life too.
Obviously this is the internet, so my judgements could be way off or right on the money. I wouldn't know till I saw u in person so I don't even give it a second thought.

The Over is that game just seems way too easy, right?
Yea, that's what I'm afraid of... but, damn, Boston, they are such a run-producing steamroller. I've shied away from them a few times and each time, I've passed up nice RL wins.
No more. I'll RL them just about every game until they sputter out, if they do. Boston has serious team mojo going on right now.
