Strange prop line in LAD/PIT

Yes Zach Thompson records the win -120

No Zach Thompson does not record the win -110

“No” seems like free money, considering the ridiculous line they put out. I know the -350 fav can lose, it’s baseball. Several prop bets raised eyebrows as they did not align with the ML lines.

That doesn’t sound right ? Maybe because it could be a no decision or something ? Idk 

Starting pitchers get pulled earlier nowadays and bullpens can blow games too. This line is abnormal for a middling pitcher on a +289 underdog team.

for the pirates to win PERIOD is +289

for their SP to go at least 5 IP and have his team hold the lead and win should be higher, like +350 or +400

Yes, i have the same prop for thompson at my side. VERY suspect. Yes its baseball and anything can happen, but essentially, by choosing “no”, youre basically picking LAD ML for a third of the price. Also, my side does NOT have a walker prop to record a W. U r correct, thompson recording a w w/ the pen holding it down in DS for -130 with a +300 line……cmon. Either the farce or the year or an error by books. I just refuse to believe it. I saw thompson pitch against col last week and he was not very inspiring with all due respect. Let alone vs walker………

sounds like a steal honestly. He might not record a win or get a decision against Buehler. I wish my book had that. I'd probably slam it. Pirates score 2 runs before the 5th?  I don't think so. 

Lol. Yes, i was “van meetered” last week pretty hard. Nothing shocks anymore in 2022. On Paper-lad wins easily but ya know, last game on board, etc etc…..

What u can do….is take no and then hedge pitt live at plus money(IF were lucky)…..best of luck.

I got +355 if accredited with the win and -604 if not. So your line is a mistake. It is a no win situation. If you bet it and it wins they won’t honor it. If you bet it and it loses you will lose your money. 

Fair enough, yeah they wouldnt honor it theoretically cuz thats what books do. Prolly wouldnt hedge in that case. Just play it small and watch it be cancelled or lose.

Well I was shocked to see +310 and +300 for Bobby Witt Jr & C. Hernandez to hit a HR…. Neither got a hit PERIOD smh.

 As a lifelong fan of this team, I agree 100%. Walker has been shaky and inconsistent. Kershaw looked good before he got injured again. Heaney and Anderson are good reclamation projects but I don’t see a major impact long term (injuries / regression). Gonsolin will regress as well, nothing special. Bullpen doesn’t give me much confidence either. Their bats are elite but I’m afraid their pitching is not as dominant as years past.

 I figured that as well. Did not play the prop. But it did give me a strange hunch that the pirates would win and their starter would pitch well enough to pick up the W. We will see how the rest of the game plays out.

So i played it small just cuz (No W). Games been over for about 10 mins. Still pending. Yeah, it’s getting cancelled. Lol.

@kg10 yes i can tell w the gibby avy. As am i. Lifelong. Took the L but this opens up a pro LAD martingale IMO. Their closer is shot the rest of the series.

Bednar was solid tonight. Had the curveball working. He is probably done for the series after throwing 50 pitches tonight. Though he probably won’t be needed- I don’t see the pirates with a late lead again this series. Dodgers will probably be huge favs for game 2 and 3 (-200 or higher)

 Urias off the tough luck loss to fedde last week vs who knows w no bednar, then mitch. Should be the same -290/-270 type prices. Dont care. They aint getting swept. LAD didnt use any of their key middle relievers tonight and can use hudson to close if kimbrel isn’t available.

 Yep PIT won 2 out of 3 in Pittsburgh, Dodgers have to win the next 2 to tie the season series at 3… something I would have laughed at a month ago. I’ll be looking at dodgers team total overs, I see them waking up and teeing off on the pirates pitching staff, as they should. Edwin Rios has been a welcome addition to the everyday lineup, something that should continue until Muncy regains his confidence and form.

 I only caught a replay on twitter of a Bednar pitch to Smith's last AB...literally waist high fastball right down the middle that he watched go by. How in the world do you not swing at that???
