Dodgers/Reds Under 8.5
Kershaw is the ace of the Dodgers staff and Arroyo has been just as impressive as Zito lately. He has been simply dominant. 0.75 ERA in his last 3 starts. The Reds only hit .227 v lefties in their last 10 games. Before Saturday's game, the Dodgers weren't hitting at all. Good chance this is a 3-2 type of final.
Padres +130
Latos still isn't getting respect. He dominated the Braves in his last outing after struggling the previous 2. Can he come back strong against a more recent struggling offense of sorts? West has been up and down a bit lately coming off an impressive outing against the Mets(like that's saying much). I still don't see much potential in this guy and I think the Padres can steal the win here and...dare I say it...sweep the series?
Rays/Tigers Under (1st 5 innings) ?
Oh boy...the best mix in all of baseball. Verlander at home in a day game. He has a 2.23 Home ERA and a 1.54 Day ERA. I didn't compare but that may be the best in the majors. He's also coming off a bad outing where he gave up 4 runs against the Angels and you have to believe he'll bounce back from that one. Niemann doesn't exactly have the best road ERA compared to his home ERA but he isn't bad. He's pitching great this season and he too is coming off a poor outing himself. He gave up 6 runs in his last start against Toronto and I can see him bouncing back too. But this under looks good. I can't back the Rays here, even with the line looking so good. Verlander's numbers that I gave are just way too good to look beyond.
