And you must be a knowledgeable baseball fan that knows 1 player can lead his team to victories.  I didn't know Derek Jeter was the only player on the Yanks!  That's remarkable.

Well when your the leadoff hitter and you get on base to start the game every time and come around to score...you set a tone early. And that is what he does basically every game.

i am in awe of derek jeter right now.. im just thinking about all the greats in yankee history and how we will see him 30-40 yrs in the future..

Not really a fan of the way these things are going. Seriously...3 innings is just like putting him in the bullpen. He won't be stretched out for a start in the playoffs. Awful decision whoever thought of this one.

If we are talking about the "hottest player in baseball" then it's Diaz. 
 
And, the Braves are 16-10 in August, whereas the Angels are 15-12.
 
If Chipper wasn't going through a 4 for 32 slump, then the Braves would be a lot closer in the NL East.

I understand that they don't want to "overuse" him but this is worse than overusing him. They're killing his confidence. And now they're have it so he can only go 3 innings in October. They were better off just shutting him down for April and then work from there.
