Here is the write-up I wrote for this game, can't say I didn't warn you guys, but instead you all jumped on the ship with everyone else on covers just because you saw everyone playing cubs. Can't say I didn't NAIL this game with my write-up...pretty much called the game before it happened. Just gonna leave you with this and say "Told ya so!"
Dodgers ML 1st 5
-Dodgers ML (1-5): I REALLY like this play tomorrow afternoon for a few reasons. The Dodgers are hot and have been playing pretty well for the most part. Their starting pitching has been decent, their bullpen is a joke. They let up the MOST runs in the 9th inning in the MLB. I don't like that at all. On the other hand, the Cubs have about 5 good starts in 18 outings, their starting staff hasn't been getting the job done, but their bullpen has a combined 10 holds, 4 saves, and a really nice 2.16 ERA thus far. I think the Dodger's get to this guy Coleman early; Coleman has yet to see the Dodger's, and Billingsley is coming off an 8 inning 2 hit NO ER game against the Cards. Billingsley won both games against the Cubs last season as well. He has a 24/8 Strike to Walk ratio this season and Coieman walks almost as many batters as he strikes out every game which is around 4 each per game. Coleman is going to have trouble with Kemp and Ethier tomorrow in my opinion and I think they cause damage early. On the other hand, the Cubs "big hitters" aren't doing well other than Soriano with his 6 HR's. Aramis has only 1 HR and 8 RBI's and Pena is batting .188 with 0 HR's and 4 RBI's. The only other player with double digit HR's is Colvin. The Cubs have been getting men on base, but they don't and can't get the big hit. The Dodger's can get the big hit especially with Eithier and Kemp in the lineup. I think the Dodger's put 2 or 3 runs up in the first inning and don't look back from there......UNTIL THE BULLPEN COMES IN! I'll play them First 5, and laugh to the bank while the pen blows the game and they end up losing.
