like I mentioned to another poster? A unit is $1000 for me. When I bet one unit on a line that is -130. Or a line that is +130? It is the same amount of money.
I don’t adjust the unit based on the line.
-8 units isn’t that big of a deal when you have a bankroll. Patience. And doing this for a living. I was once down 14 units and also once up 7 units. Sports betting is a roller coaster. And you gotta be able to handle the swings. If being down 8 units is close to “going broke” for you? Sports betting may not be for you. Or you may need to adjust your bankroll management.

Yes, if you haven't made a profit in the 2 easiest months of the MLB season then I highly doubt we will see anything positive the next 2 months, or for the rest of the season.

That’s an interesting take that you have taken such a confident stance on. But no one knows the future we only have predictions. 
so with that being said
my counter argument is that a sports bettor has the entire season to turn a profit. Not the first two months. Chasing is always going to be -EV so max unit will always be 5. Min unit will always be 1.
this area (being down -17 units) isn’t new to me. This is why as a sports bettor needs a bankroll. You need to be able to weather the swings of this environment without emotions. Or you are doomed trying to do this professionally/for a living. Also if you followed? You’d see I was down -15 units just a week ago and then grinded back up to +5 units before another dip. The swings happen. Thats why you need a bankroll.
Ill be ahead before exiting the season.
