Appreciate your effort in capping the games, most of all your sharing of your reasons.I look at many of the same angles .
I am interested to hear your opinion on the Tor. and Minny games.
What I have found is some of Balt. hitters have hit Marcum well but have not faced him for over a year. They will probably be without Roberts leading off.Millwood pitched well vs Tb. and the Jays have not faced him in over a year.
In the Minn game you have a Minn. team that has dominated their opponent last 13 games vs a pitcher who is dominant at home.
Buhrle faced them 6 times last year with mixed results and he has dominated the big 2(Mauer Morneau).
Both these visitors are going for the sweep which I am sure you have found is a difficult thing to accomplish in baseball.
Good luck with your picks,Obmarn.........

Nice start to the season, Sparky Keep up the good work.
GL today
I was wondering when I'd see you around. I was curious on what to take out of Hochevar's first start. 7 shutout innings. Is it a figment of my imagination to believe he's finally turning into the real deal...or is he REALLY the real deal?
BOL this season.

I assume Cappin wasn't so happy yesterday.

You know as much as I do...a team can score 10+ runs 5 straight games...but when they go to face Halladay.............

takin the O's to avoid the sweep....
I believe Marcum is the real deal. And with that O's bullpen...I don't think I can lay money on them all season. And for what it's worth...it is Sunday. And in past years...ther Orioles have been absolutely AWFUL on Sunday games. I don't know what it's about...but they were always fade material.

Well I don't have so much to say about that Toronto game. But whatever that needs to be said...you can catch it in post #40. Along with the fact that the Orioles shouldn't be favored over anyone. I know the numbers are there for the O's against Marcum...but I didn't add that to my thread for a reason. I think Marcum is already back to form and will be the Jays ace for years to come. And I just can't buy into the fact that Millwood was as good as he was in Game 1. I think he gets exposed today. But that's just my opinion.
Actually...a sweep comes more often than you think. If you start betting on games simply because "there is no way they can be swept", it won't work out for you. Right now...the Sox' offense is so poor (just like the Astros), that I can't put money on them no matter how much of a mismatch there is in pitching. And today...there is no huge mismatch in pitching. Blackburn is a decent starter while Buehrle is a great starter. But if their offense can't hit...than Blackburn's status creeps up a bit closer to Buehrle. There is some good value in taking the Twins as dogs here but more importantly...the value is definitely in the under. Basically...if you think Buehrle will pitch a gem, or even a quality start for that matter, than you should be on the under. I still have time and I may add that under as my play in a little bit.

I know...you get that extra at bat and what not...but Verlander is also a better pitcher at home. So on the road...he'll give up that extra run that may hurt me...but at home...he'll shut them out.

For the bat v pitch stats, I go to espn, and go to mlb, then schedule, than click on the pitcher, click on the bat v pitch catagory, and see how the hitters do against him. Other things may be extended info I do 1st hand by looking at a team's schedule from last season (like Weaver's stats yesterday on him being solid when his team is on a losing streak). But down the road...the covers' matchups give some good info all on 1 page.
