Quick recap: Oh yeah, 9-1 last night over 15 units won. I can't guarantee 9-1 tonight but with only 8 plays, maybe 8-0. Plus, I don't have any situation systems that are as strong as the one I backed on Pitt last night. But, there are some good games tonight. Here are Tuesday night's plays.
1* Detroit Tigers -1' +130
Detroit is 11-1 in home games against left-handed starters this season. Tigers are also 7-2 vs the M's in Detroit for the last 3 years. Detroit's Porcello is 5-2 at home and beat the Mariners back in April on the road.
1* Milwaukee Brewers -123
Pitt fit a top situation system last night that validated a 4unit play and we had an easy winner. Tonight, we go back and look at the fact that Milwaukke is still 5-1 vs Pitt this year. Mil's pitcher, Looper is also 5-3 on the road and team record of 4-2 vs the Reds. The Red's starter, meanwhile has lost his last 3 starts by 3 runs each. Small play on the road fave.
1* NY Mets +137
Are you kiddin' again? So Perez is winless on the road, I guarantee every time (like last night) I am fading the Nats in every game they are favored. They are 4-13 in July alone. And I promise I will end up in the black.
3* Toronto Blue Jays +103
This is my best play tonight. And this is like the Mets/Nats game. This line is base soley on Cliff Lee being on the mound for the Indians. He is only 2-7 TY on the road. The Jay's Ceceil 2-1 at home. In addition, Lee is 3-5 (team record) vs the Jays. Cecil's only start against Cleveland was back in May and the Jays won 10-6. Lastly, Cleveland is 16-29 on the road where Toronto - the underdogs - are 27-19 at home.
2* LA Angels -125 (GAME 2)
This is the second game of today's double-header. The Angels are 3-0 vs KC TY and 10-5 in July vs KC 's 4-11 July record. The Halo's hurler is also 4-0 TY and 2-0 on the road. KC's Chen on the other hand is the opposite: 0-4 and 0-1 at home. Nice value on the small road favorite here.
1* Oakland A's -129
Twins blew a 10 point lead last night and are now 2-13 on the road vs. lefties. And the A's put another on the mound tonight. Oakland 9-6 vs the Twins in Oakland the last three years and until Minny can prove that they can beat southpaws on the road I will fade them when the chalk is under 130. Now how much I bet depends on who Minny is playing. The A's? 1 unit.
2* Florida Marlins -107
SD 3-14 in July! Their starter tonight, Gaudin, is 1-4 at home (0-3 in his last 3 starts). The Marlins starter has fared better on the road going 5-4 now. Florida is 5-3 in SD the last 3 years and with the way the Padres are playing I have to lay the very small chalk on FL.
1* LA Dodgers +110
The Dodgers Wolf is 8-2 (team record 10-5) when starting against the Reds. Wolf is also a stellar 7-3 at his home starts. The Reds Bailey is 1-1 but winless in his last 3 starts. Besides the fact that LA is 31-15 at home TY they are 7-0 vs the Reds at home the last 3 years! Everything points to the Dodgers but the price at 185 is too steep. The fact that Wolf has won his last 3 starts vs the Reds by 4 or more runs, I feel comfortable betting on the run-line at +110.
That's it for tonight. There were some system plays but none that are hitting over 60% TY or had the success as the one that wa backing Pitt last night at 72% over the last 10 years. That said, after a 9-1 night I think I may make a small play on an 8 Team parlay.
Anyway, constructive questions, comments and criticism always welcomed. And as always, GOOD LUCK to all!!!
Here's to a winning night... first beer is now open.
