in no order of preference.....first lets examine the battle of native americans in atlanta...toeing the rubber for the indians we have danny salazar, while for the braves, lefty alex wood gets the call..neither pitcher has pitched much in the big leagues, and in their limited action it seems wood at home would have a slight advantage.. at -135 FIRST 5 the juice isnt too terribly high, or you could take a bit more risk and lay a half run and get back +105...give me the braves in any case..
moving to the twin cities the no run support james shields will square off against kevin correia... offensively the twins rank towards the bottom of MLB, while their pitching staff ranks towards the bottom as well.....no joe mauer tonight for the twins...one less obstacle for shields who would be having a stellar season if he ever got any run support...thats changes tonight against the twons pitching staff....royals -1/2 F5 at -115.
moving top bean town where 2 of the top 5 offenses in MLB square off with 2 lefties hurling..doubront was liights out his last outing ...against zito and the giants.... chen, NOT bruce...the other one... goes for baltimore and between these 2 pitchers the green monster may need renovation after the game!! dont worry about a side, just take OVER 5 FIRST 5, and pull for offense...
in the nations capitol...ross ohlendorf is a -160 FG or -155 F 5 favorite....i know hes pitched pretty well in limited starts late this season....but come on, this is a back of the roration type pitcher and hes been in the bullpen....i have no idea why he is such a big favorite.. eovaldi is pitching well for the fightin' fish and think he can match dorf on pitching the F 5....take the marlins +135 first 5..
like em or not....those are the picks from a pig....might have something on the late games, later. GL to everyone
