I have been posting all of my bets, but have been focusing on underdogs, so I wanted to begin tracking only my plays on underdogs seeing as they are paying off. The stats above are from all of my underdog posts that I have put up this year in the Early MLB System Plays string (https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=27&sub=102417216&page=1), Each bet has been of $100.00 with a starting bankroll of $1,000.00
Philadelphia +140 ($100.00 to win $140.00)
Hellickson has been 3-1 in his last 4 games in April, winning his debut earlier this year. The moneyline for those wins were -200,-115 and -241. The loss being -171. Philadelphia is still playing hard enough to win games against some of the best teams in the league. Philadelphia is currently 2-2 against the Nats this year, one of those games Philly ran up 17 runs.
Baltimore +125 ($100.00 to win $125.00)
Toronto has dropped 5 straight at home, all of which they were favored at an average moneyline of -156. Getting juice against a 1-9 Toronto team holds value. Asher is not exactly an ace, but Estrada is 1-4 currently in his last 5 home games. 4 of which he was a favorite with an average moneyline of -160.
Detroit +130 ($100.00 to win $130.00)
Verlander is 7-4 in his last 11 road games. He is currently on a 5 game win streak of Road wins in April dating back to 2014. That stat is sort of a reach, but he consistently comes strong early in the season on the road.
To be fair, Verlander has also dropped his last 4 visits to Cleveland, and Kluber has been excellent at home as of late. The problem for Kluber is his play early in the season, being only 2-13 in April over the last 15 games.
