The biggest mistake gamblers make in Sept is thinking this team has to win because they need the game. Baseball is the only game where if you try harder you do worse. In other sports like football or basketball or hockey when you have that adrenaline rush or put more pressure on yourself it helps because you can run faster, play better defense, grab a rebound etc but in baseball you can't. It's a completely different set of skill sets, being relaxed is the most important thing. Pressure makes most baseball players grab the bat handle so tight it starts to turn to saw dust and makes your swing slower. Baseball is a game of relaxation and the harder you try the more it hurts you. You have to just play and not think. So when you have a team like SF who came into this series with all of the pressure on them and SD that had none, I knew we would be in this spot Sunday. Take a look at ATL, they couldn't imagine being in this spot on Thursday night. It's so much tougher to play when there's pressure on you and right now ATL goes first knowing they lose they're done. First I will fade ATL first no matter the line regular wager. If they lose than no play on the SD game. If ATL wins than I will fade SF large. Being at home here actually hurts them because of the pressure on them right now, they are starting to hear whispers of choking.
