Sparky-- Where was your 20 unit play on your boyz tonight??
Just kidding... But I'm sure you were thinking the same thing.
Conversely...where was my 20 unit play on the Yanks??
RRS vs Pettitte should be interesting, The problem I have in backing Andy is the dramatic drop in the fastball. Seems like teams would be teeing off on him more this year after facing CC's 97-98 MPH heater; but I haven't done any homework to verify it.
NY has the best chance this year, IMO, to finally win it all again if Java and AJ bring it in the playoffs. I think pitching, as usual (along w/ the coach??), will be their undoing if they unravel when it matters most.
Chemistry is probably the most underrated factor in baseball these days; just look at the past WS winners over the last 10 years.
I say bet the Yanks again tomorrow -146 to go up 2-0 in the series.
This line is only going up...

I'm taking off from baseball for a while. It's much easier to do that when the Yanks are winning so much...it gives me something to look foward to every night. But remember...Pettitte is a HUGE 2nd half pitcher. Every year but last season he was dominant in the 2nd half. And Pettitte is more crafty so going from CC to Pettitte may not be great for the Mariners. Now Joba and AJ aren't the ones to worry about. AJ has proven he can get it done in the postseason and Joba should be well rested since they will be starting him every 8-10 days probably to keep his innings low. It's A-Rod and Sabathia who have the bad postseason track record and the ones to worry about. And I think making the playoffs at least would secure Girardi one more year. And to the final point...chemistry. Boy is there more chemistry amongst this team than I have seen in YEARS. Sabathia is like a role model to Joba...they're always together. Burnett came with the pies after the walkoffs. A-Rod, Melky and Cano are always jumping together after a home run. And Swisher is just working with everyone making the clubhouse so much looser. He refers to Jeter as "one cool dude" and he made jokes like "The Red Sox had our number but we changed our network provider". I mean they're joking around...they're winning, and you could just see how pumped up this team was during that Red Sox series. I just can't see the Yanks losing anymore. It just seems that every time they go out...no matter who they face...they will win. It's a great feeling.

See, that's the great thing about networking via the internet.
Never would've got that perspective otherwise. Joba--not the coffee, Java, LOL is the trump card. He's got to bring it when it matters most (no walks!), that's the bottom line.
Remember (not to brag), [I] was the one who predicted the Boston sweep. I knew this Yankee team--along with Boston's latest slide--had the potential to pull off the improbable. It was their time to shine.
I'm loading up my winnings tonight and doubling down on Andy. Seattle has pulled so many tricks out of their hat time and time again all year. I am believing thay have run out of rabbits.
14 yrs ago when I was 32-yrs-old I would've never gone against my Mariners. Thousands of dollars later and a much wiser head on my shoulder, I'm betting on my livelyhood and not my team (feelings).
So as much as it pains me to say it...against my team once again:
GO YANKEES!!!
