I would have to say...as of now...Red Sox. But in the past, Red Sox own the Angels in the playoffs and if the playoffs were to start now, that would be the first round matchup along with the Yanks and Tigers. I'm not saying the Phillies are bad or anything, I'm just saying the I think the other teams could beat them. Now I know the Yanks lost to the Phillies when they came but it's safe to say they are a different team now. And you can very well see a Yankees/Phillies matchup, which would be scary because of all their left-handed bats at Yankee Stadium.
What makes the Yankees' lineup so dangerous is all the switch hitters they have to adapt to any pitcher.

Well...he had a 4+ ERA in 2008 and this season on the road. I'm curious to see how he does away from Petco and in the AL. It may be a big difference.

I guess I'd have to pick the obvious. As of RIGHT NOW...Yankees, Angels, Red Sox in the AL. But come playoff time, I think the Sox will jump in front of the Angels, and if those 2 teams meet...I say the Sox will beat them. Yankees v Red Sox would be a great ALCS, and either of those 2 v either of the Phillies/Dodgers would be a great World Series. Obviously because of the World Champs and...of course the Joe Torre and Manny Ramirez factor.
