We all have at least one.
Mine would have to be Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction.
What are yours?
@debi
Very good choices. Shawshank has to be at the top of the list for nearly everyone. There are many ways you can go about it when you say best. From cinematic to artistic to just plain favorite. So I will go with just plain favorite and go with Remember the Titans. I watch that probably 3x a year still. Could have gone with Miracle also as a close second. Love them both. Such fine acting, memorable cast and what a story. Fun films. But yeah Shawshank would be up there too.

Braveheart is great too!
I am not much into Fantasy - but I was convinced to watch Lord of the Rings and definitely enjoyed it which was a surprise for me.

A lot of American movies are either boring or corny - but I like most of the Tarantino ones, John Wick and Sin City, “classic” movies there are 4 good ones: Home alone, Back to the future, Jurassic park and Star Wars - LOTR for instance is pure shit (was good for its time - but has aged like old milk) - S. Redemption mentioned here is also ok - but far too long you could easily cut that 30 mins down

Ohh yeah and Godfather was also great - Terminator wasn’t (or the start isn’t normally when I have tried watching that I have either daydreamed or fell asleep)

True it might even be the best one of the 3 - but I meant the Godfather franchise - even though the 3rd one is by far worst of them - I like all 3 of them

Green mile is also ok - but for me it is the same story as shawshank redemption - some movies are made way too long for my taste “cause good movies are long” ( I hear the Oscar comitee say) - they are if it makes sense and with those two I would argue it doesnt - you could easily tell those two stories on the same scale as they are now - removing 30 mins or more for each
- this is of course my opinion - and I can easily see the quality in both - but that runtime fact alone make it so I dont view them as the Cult classics that they are
