A little disappointed by that scene with Skyler in the pool. Oh well though.

Very disappointed in the show right now.  Doesn't have the same edge to it.  I don't care about him making meth, there's  something missing right now.  I still have faith things will turn around in the upcoming episodes.

they are doing 8 episodes now and 8 more to wrap it up in 2013.

My heart was racing the last 20 minutes, by far the best episode of the series

Episodes with Tuco and Gus rank better than tonights IMO.

I thought that was the best episode of the series, just based on the last 20 minutes of the robbery which had my heart racing and then Todd blows that kid away...wow.

Also, when Walt installs the surveillance equipment on Hanks computer, wouldn't the IT guys detect something foreign installed on their networks?

My favorite part of the series has always been the first scenes and how they are incorporated into the season/episodes.

Good point about the IT at a DEA office. It's not an advertising agency, it's a DEA office. Someone's got to be in charge of making sure their computers aren't compromised. 

Walt holding that picture with a bug in it could come back on him later. Hank has to figure this out eventually. That b.s. accident by the laundromat. Walt and his cars, watches,  Skylar losing her mind, etc.

Awesome episode tonight. Everyone's heart skipped a beat when they shot the kid at the end. So sad.

When the series began I thought Skylar was hot as well but now she is one ugly bi%ch if you ask me.  The script writers and Anna Gunn doing a real good job with this role change.  I doubt anyone like Skylar at this point and she is really selling it.

I thought this was a good episode too.  I know it is only a TV show but I hate the fact they killed a kid.  I am curious what the purpose of the spider holds.  It is to show that he was just a kid doing kid things; is it to show that this kid is curious and willing to put himself in danger and this time around it got him; or is it a clue to his disappearance later on.  Any thoughts here?

^ I think they just used spider collecting as a reason to put the kid out there. No hidden meaning.

I'm digging this season.

The fact that Walt was so quick to vote to kill the business women and thinking about killing the train engineers means he's completely crossed over to being Heisneburg.

Walter White is dead as Skylar/Jesse knew him. Crazy ass character arcs this season.

The killing of this kid is going to cause jesse to come apart.

The train robbery was silly but entertaining.

The boy was looking for that spider obviously, he knew exactly how to handle it with no fear. Brilliant writing on that scene.

Interesting how up until this season the audience felt compassion for Walt and he was a likable character trying to help his family. Now he more or less has no family and is turning into a monster that in the end the audience will be glad he gets what he's got coming to him. Awesome arc on his character.

Skylar is the only normal character left.
She was annoying in the previous seasons. Not so anymore.
At least she's needed to depict Walter's psychopathy.

Walter won't lose sleep over the dead boy. If Jesse continues after this he's a lost cause as well.

that dinner scene with Jesse Walt and Skyler was great.  Also the scene where they're taking apart the motorcycle.  It the detail that makes the show good and sets it apart from all thos generic shows

I thought the first couple of seasons were brilliant and it has kind of started back sliding since then.  Wasn't impressed with the first 2 episodes of season 5.  

Two of my favorite episodes:  Box Cutter where Gus sticks that guy after casually gowning up.  And that one where Jesse tries to scare that couple and get his dope back.  They steal and ATM machine and that chick ends up making it fall on the guy's head and the money comes flying out.  Just brilliant stuff.

What made the early episodes so good was the fact that Jesse and Walt were still struggling morally with their decisions.  As Walt has grown into a monster, it has lost it's edge.  You don't know what is going to happen, but you know Walt is evil.  So it's just a matter of seeing how he's going to continue his evil.  Kind of blah.

I would like to screw Skyler like she owes me money.  She is a _unt, but that's her role.  I love her rack and deep down, I think she's dirty.

Regardless of how this season stacks up with the rest of the series it has given us amazing quotes that are hilarious to insert into everyday conversation:

"We're not done until I say we're done."
"Nothing stops this train.  Nothing."
"I'm in the (insert whatever noun you feel like) empire business."

Great episode last night. Loved the cinematography at the end. Newer seasons are way better IMO. Seeing the characters develop is the sign of a good show. The early seasons with Tucco and them cooking in the RV although still good we're a little more shallow. As for the moral struggle it's still a main theme even this season.
