Game of Thrones: Best show on TV back April 1

I just thought it was funny they don't even respect him enough to trade something good. I would have even taken him for that. Huge steal for Jets.

Went home and forgot about these shows as well when I saw my collection. Deadwood, Mad Men, and the ultimate BEST thing HBO has ever put out. BAND OF BROTHERS. All better! Please tell me Band of Brothers rating on your tell all website.

Again: the fact that you think it was "prince boy" that threw the kid out the window shows you either weren't paying attention to what you were watching, missed about half the episodes, or have a terrible memory.

Tim Tebow means nothing to me. I enjoyed his little run because it provided very exciting television and I thought it was funny how perhaps the most clean-cut NFL player in history caused so much hatred. Also it was entertaining to see how he drove some people crazy by winning.

I trust that satisfies your Tebow requirement and you can take your obsession with talking about an NFL player to a thread that's not about an HBO tv show.

I'm a huge Band of Brothers fan. It got a 9.7 although according to the classification it's not a tv show it's a miniseries.

Thanks for bringing that up. I have Band of Brothers on blu ray and haven't watched it in a while. I think I'll start another run through tonight.

It's a shame though The Pacific wasn't half as good. Again, just my opinion.

Band of brothers is the best show, miniseries, whatever the fuck it is. Glad it rated better! You're right about pacific. It was around half or less the show bob was. Me and the crew were extremely disappointed! You prolly cant see but on my tat on initials is for richard winters. Thought the world of him and sent him a few letters which he responded promptly. He is the ultimate hero! Best line ever was his end story with the grandson asking about heroes. After the letters thought he deserved it and I would proudly have his initials on my back for life. After showing the tattoo to him in the final letter I sent he called about a week later! Incredible man and story!!!

Was it not the prince boy who the blonde model looking adult? Sry I called him boy cause he was such a person! He was the one captured by the wife of the northern crew.

Haha, yes "the blonde model looking adult" was the one. I thought "prince boy" meant the boy prince, not the king's bodyguard.

I don't think he's "such a person" though considering he's one of the best fighters on the show. But the twincest thing is kind of off-putting.

Sry thought he was a Lancaster that was taking the throne as king hence the prince. Forgot the boy was the kings son.

just finished watching season 1. pretty entertaining if you like the fantasy genre. definitely had some "holy shit" moments. looking forward to season 2

I’m not a fan of the fantasy genre, but this is easily my favorite show on tv.  IMO, Game of Thrones has more in common with shows like Deadwood than it does with fantasy works like the Lord of the Rings movies.

Just saw the first episode of the second season. It was really good. I wish i could watch 4 more episodes right now :D

Despite Game of Thrones being on premium cable and Mad Men being on basic cable, Game of Thrones had over 1,000,000 more viewers.

I thought first episode of this second season was poor and action-less.

Compared with the opener to season one, it was really poor.


Sean Bean, Ned Stark is really missed and this void was immediately obvious comparing opener season one with opener season two.


I too have read the currently available books.

To be honest, I thought the books were great initially, but by book 3 part 2 A Storm Of Swords (Blood and Gold), the plot which was plausible started to become silly and the silliness continued into book 4 A Feast For Crows and with this book it was all completely ridiculous with ghosts of the dead playing roles in the plot. Should have stuck with the actual living. Don't go with killed off characters returning from the dead.

I really tried to get into this show but I just couldnt.  As someone said earlier, all the kids and dragons and magic ruined it for me.  Huge fan of Gladiator and Braveheart but cant stand Lord of the Rings.  Most of the people I know swear this show is the greatest ever but I guess its a matter of taste.

The episode Sunday was simply brilliant.  Second best show on television (Breaking Bad is the best).
