Gotcha. I haven't looked close enough into it yet while weve been talking, but there's probably a "library" within my Vuse site in my computer, right? As far as where my downloads are stored.

I never did....That just looks like it is giving you other torrent site options other than Mininova....They may or may not be as good.

IMO....Mininova is all you need.

What exactly is mininova's involvement/necessity in it? I mean, what dors it do?

Is that in those earlier posts when I didn't know what you guys were talking about?  If so, I'll just go back and reread it.

Mininova is where the movies are.

VUSE is what downloads it for you.

VUSE does NOT have movies....Just downloads them and saves them.

Do I activate mininova somewhere, because I can see a whole bunch of the same title of in this case, say "Star Trek" (the new flick). I assume the differences are strength and quality of the copy and download , eh snap? But the choices are right there, so I stull don't get employing mininova yet.

Correct.....One thing you want is DVDRIP after the title.....and the more seeds the better.

You should start like I stated in post #52 typing the names that I included. FXG  ....FXM....AXXO....These guys movies are great quality.

Cool fricking beans Snap. I am somewhat familiar with file sfaring, so I apptrciate those names of guys that have good stuff and better than most the others........

That mininova is cool Snap. I clicked on advanced search, and found out that I can search by IMDB numbers. Talk about convenience!

One thing though. I couldn't find where to download it.

Was it where to "apply for content distribution"?

If so, and that's how you download it, does that open it up to strangers coming into my computer to check out my movies in my
"vuse library" to get flicks?

Dennishopson - The whole idea behind P2P [ peer-to-peer ] ( which is what goes on when you download a movie from mininova using vuse ) is that we share the content we have. If more people have the file you're downloading, then the quicker you get to download the file. Everybody shares a little part of the big file which is why this stuff has not gotten shut down like the other big download programs of the past years ( although you still gotta be careful some places ).

Also, be careful if you have data limits with your  internet service provider. In order to share movies, you'll be UPLOADING which means all data being shared does not count as part as your DOWNLOADING limit. If you have unlimited activity on your internet account, then this is the perfect way to build a complete library of your favorite TV shows and movies.

Now that you have a program that can run TORRENTS, you can also check out EZTV to download the tv shows for free as well. Basically, on each line for the episode of a tv show, there are a couple of icons that are TORRENT links. Click on the first one to the left and follow the same procedure as if you were downloading a movie.

A couple of other comments for those reading this that might need extra help:

- Download the VLC MEDIA PLAYER right HERE (there is a mac version) in order to play the files. It has all the codecs needed to play every file you want to play.

- To find where the files are being stores, just use the search function of your operating system by looking for the title of your download.

* Snap - You were talking about videos on youtube being taken down. Just download anything you want to keep from youtube using THIS WEBSITE. where you can download any streaming video straight to your desktop. Just use the 2nd link when it offers you a choice of a download and you'll have a mp4 copy of the video saved.
