Maybe I should start a seperate thread, but there are movies that are clearly just bad, but could fit into the category of "good" bad movies...
 
for example: "Road House"  -- terrible, but addictive in it's own right. Same can be said for Norm MacDonald's "Dirty Work"

I think the only reason Travolta made this movie was because his main man L. Ron wrote the book.

Wow, I must've  removed this painful experience from my memory. I unfortunately did see this, and it was so terrible this is the 1st time my brain triggered this painful experience. Honorable mentions, sweet november, 8 heads in a duffel bag, and sweeney todd. One of the very few movies I turned off before even halfway over.

just brutal i like MMA and this was almost a total waste of time and money.. had some like 18A nudity..the story was bad the transitions in scenes the audio.. it was hard to take this movie serious...

 to me .....and most other American dumbasses....movie IS ... a comedy/drama......very funny and VERY  sad
not that it means anything (necessarily).....doubt ANY other serious film critic or member of the intelligentsia (as yourself) ... in any country....anywhere  in the world...

we'll have to agree to disagree about the film and you are right... I can tend to get on my high horse and rant... no hard feelings...

I would be interested to know if there is a certain country of orgin you are interested in filmwise as I like foreign film myself...

French films can be pretty interesting and there has been some crazy stuff coming out of Japan

Akira Kurosawa gotta be best director of this century ?......but not for everybody  ....."Seven Samurai" top 5 for me
Patrice Leconte great French director......love most all his stuff

Yes... Kurosawa and Almodovar are both fantastic... "Seven Samurai" is simply masterful... good call...

Also a big Kubrick fan (like the new avatar by the way)... (have you ever seen "Call me Kubrick"? Not great by any means, but thought it was worth the watch... I found it curious

I would be curious to know your take on Charlie Kaufman... I really believe that he was struggling to find his vision and was finally successful with his latest, "Synecdoche, New York"...

Agree with all except Schindlers... (think Spielberg is THE most overrated directer of all time)... but, again, we disagree...

I love Woody Allen and Clint Eastwood... see my review of "The Outlaw" here... a near perfect film.

The 1st hour or so of The Outlaw Jesse James was decent. After that, I couldn't wait for it to get over. WAY too drawn out and boring.

Had to bump this thread since my worst movie I've ever seen before was Little Nicky, which has now been taken over by Hot Rod. Wow, was that bad. Happened to be on I think Showtime the other night and kept watching to see if would keep getting worse and it delivered.

Wide Sargasso Sea comes leaping to mind, though I suspect I've seen worse.
 
I've never been able to get far enough through an Adam Sandler movie to know if the remaining 90% sucked as much as the first 10%, but I've always assumed that to be the case. 
 
After Hours has Bad Brains in it (playing Pay to juice, if memory serves), which is reason enough to love the film, though I will agree there are many.
 
Under-rated classic:  McCabe and Mrs. Miller.  I don't usually llike Altman (indeed, I just watched MASH again the other night and still think it sucks), but this one is a great, haunting masterpiece.
