Inception = extremely overrated

First off let me just say I thought Inception was a good movie and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was the best movie I see this year. The special effects were amazing and DiCaprio is one of my favorite actors.

Now, having said that, Inception is extremely overrated. I kept hearing about how it is one of the greatest movies all of time, hell IMDB has it currently rated as THE number ONE movie of all time.

I mean seriously? The number one movie of all time? You’ve gotta be shitting me.

Avatar was extremely overrated. Book of Eli, when it first came out, was extremely overrated.

Inception is a great movie, some might not say its one of the best movies of all time, but they still see the greatness in the movie.

So “pretty damn good” = the best movie of all time?

5: Pulp Fiction

6: Schindler’s List

You can't go by IMDB for their ratings. Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite movies and I know damn well that it shouldn't even be in the Top 10.

i agree, it was very good but everyone is saying how it was mind blowing and the best movie of all time.   Overated in that respect...Everyone including myself were following the hype, because its fresh in everyones heads, its considered the best of all time lol. People said the same thing about batman, avatar after they were viewed...  I must say i found batman and avatar to live up more to the hype.

It kind of reminds me of college football in that just about every other year the media wants to crown a team “the best team ever” before the season is even over.  

And the funny thing is that “best team ever” almost always ends up losing the championship game.  

I think when something is fresh in your mind it's wasy to say it's the best ever.

It is the best movie I have seen in a very long time. In my top 10 for sure. Is it #1? I dont know. Could be. I have to watch it one or two more times before I would give it that distinction.

I will say it is by far the most complicated plot for a movie of all time.

Maybe in a "Modern" movie list, but NO way of all time. I would rank it somewhere in the mid 20's or 30's.. But that is my Opinion.

IMDB rankings are mostly voted on by the younger generation who have never even seen any movies prior to the early 80's.
