JayDub.
I watched the Son of No one last night. It was terrible. Ridiculis plot. It really made no sense, about as much sense as casting Tracy Morgan in a serious role.

motorcycle diaries.....
watched awhile back on one of the movie channels. was overly long and not that interesting. I guess it would be OK IF your into Che Guevara, which I am NOT.

Ya I would say so. one of the films that really launched Johnny Depp's career
The King's Speech (2010) GREAT pure English "stage acting" by all involved and esp Colin Firth as George VI and Geoffrey Rush as Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue. won Best Movie for 2010 with Firth getting Best Actor and Tom Hooper b Best Director. Rush was nominated for Best Supporting Actor but got aced out by Christian Bale in The Fighter.
worth watching IF you like good drama and excellent acting. it's on various Showtime movie channels Tuesday Aug 8th thru Sunday Aug 12th. definate

Kill the Irishmen IS based on the true fight between Irish mobster Danny Green and the Italian mafia in Cleveland in the 1970's. excellent acting by all involved and esp Ray Stevenson as Danny Greene, Vincent D'Onofrio as Italian mobster John Nardi, Christopher Walken as jewish mobster "Shondor" Birns and Steve Schirripa as independent garbage hauler company owner Mike Frato.
agree it's an EXCELLENT "mob movie" and definately based on true events

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle
I know this movie came out in 92 but I was surprised that it got such great reviews. It wasn't a bad movie by any means but I wouldn't say it was great. It was an entertaining movie for a Tuesday night.

Mr Brooks (2007). maybe the BEST "psyco thriller" drama I have seen in years. well acted by all and esp the main characters of Kevin Costner as Mr Brooks, William Hurt as Marshall, Brooks "id" (voice in his head), Demi Moore as Detective Tracy Atwood who has been tracking the Brooks murders and Dane Cook as "Mr. Smith" who sees a Brooks murder and wants "in on the action"
has some GREAT "plot twists" and some excellent action in spots and a really wildass CRAZY finish. it's on the MGM movie channel again Thrusday Aug 9th @ 11:30 pm pacific. definate
btw, Kill The Irishman is on STARZ cinema again saturday Aug 11th @ 11:00 pm pacific

It's probably b/c that movie was made for Teens and kids. Same reason I haven't seen any of those Twilight movies.
I don't understand this vampire fad. I thought it was over w/ the Lost Boys.

The Witches of Oz (2011). two part mini-series
watched last night and it was a more adult telling of the Wizard of Oz story set in New York City. thought it was pretty well acted, was VERY funny in spots and actually had some good action. was kind of a combo of a Narnia type story with some Devil Wears Prada thrown in. had some HOT women playing the various witches.
