that upon further review, was actually alot better or worse than you had originally thought the first time you saw it.
Two movies I watched this weekend fit the bill:
Avatar: Alot of it had to do with the splitting headache I got wearing those stupid 3D glasses, but I really didn't enjoy it that much when I saw it in the theatre. Having watched it again at home... boy was I ever wrong. Not saying it's the greatest movie ever made or anything like that, but you definitely appreciate it alot more when you're not writhing around in pain.
The Usual Suspects: Thought it was really clever the first time I saw it. Not so much this time. In fact, once you start breaking it down, you realize the entire movie is a cheat. Obviously can't give too much away, but it really doesn't hold up well the second time around.
How about you?

Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. The first time i watched them i thought they were okay at best. I popped them in last week for the hell of it and realized how bad these two are. I know i am probably in the minority when it comes to Pulp Fiction but i think it is horrible

House of 1,000 Corpses... really an entertaining horror film just gets funnier and funnier the more you see it. It is a true cult classic.
Goodfellas... one of my favorite gangster movies. Excellent cast and fun stroy. Whenever it is on I always drop everything and watch it.
Shawshank Redemption... same as above. Love the story, cast and whenever it is on I always watch it. I could never get sick of this movie.
Any suspense movie that has a twist at the end is never as good the second time around because the twist is known and yes that would include movies like: Unusal Suspects, all Saw movies, Arlington Road, etc.

The first time I saw it in the theatre wasn't really into it. My girlfriend at the time wanted to leave mid movie so maybe that was part of the reason.
Now it is on my top 10 list

was really clever the first time I saw it. Not so much this time. In
fact, once you start breaking it down, you realize the entire movie is
a cheat. Obviously can't give too much away, but it really doesn't hold

but that's the point of the entire movie.....you don't realize the cops AND you are getting conned the entire time........of course the 2nd time around you'd see it differently, knowing 95% is bullshit

Observe and Report. I wasn't that impressed with it the first time I saw it, which may be becasue it wasn't at all what I was expecting. Then I saw it again and found myself cracking up at certain parts.

I've never been a big Pulp Fiction fan either (the Tarantino/Keitel big was truly bad), but the movie did reinvent how time can be used in narrative storytelling. At least that's what Stanley Kubrick thought and I'd have to agree.

It's fucking amazing. I always catch the twist, but Usual Suspects was just kinda out of nowhere. I still am not sure I've felt the same way about a movie before or after
