dennishopson, typo or not didn't really matter to me. I just saw he name was spelled incorrectly and I corrected it...there was no mean intent when I corrected the spelling. I never intended to attack you or create a controvery. BostonKen jumped in when he didn't need to make any comment and this turned into to a bashing back and forth between he and I. I read your posting in the topic "The Departed" (W/ Marl Wahlberg) and I am sorry you thought that their comments were aimed at you but it is obvious that their intent was to make fun of me and that's why I haven't corrected any of their intentional misspellings in the post.
It's exciting and a great thing to see STLCard, Titan65,KOAJ and mcdrewcarey post something in the Movie Forum although I am somewhat dismayed that they have only choosen to do so in a manner of jest because all of those members have much more intellectual and pertinent insight into the cinemagraphic medium than parododious postings intended to ridicule a specific forum member but if that's what it takes to get those Gentlemen to join us here in the Movie Forum then I feel it is an honor to be the catalyst in that process and hope to be the brunt of numerous jokes to follow if it will continue these Gentlmen's attendance in the Movie Forum but please grant me this one request ...that all of you Gentlemen also make postings exhibiting your intellect and spectacular insight into cinema content as well.

Mcdrewcarey187 since your still experiencing the adrenaline rush, I'll offer you the same proposition that I have to other select members of the forum. Order the DVD, EQUUS, starring Richard Burton. View the film and if you don't like it I will pay for the DVD.
Of course you will be expect to post your views about the film here in the forum.

Dennishopson, thanks for speaking on my behalf but I am quite sure you are in the minority with the opinion that I am "ok" but thank you very much.
I don't expect others to understand why I go off on the situations that lead me in to conflict with other members of the forum. If they find levity in the situations and it brings them in to the Movie Forum more frequently then I suppose it's a good thing but I never intended to start the controversy that resulted from my correcting the posted errors. If I see a typo or misspelled word then I am going to correct them...it's not a personal attack. I make mistakes and expect the same from any other member of the forum to point out my mistakes and misspelled words. If other members can't relate to that then I don't know what else to say because I'd make the same correction if I see it posted in the future I just hope that in the future it doesn't lead to the same back and forth bashings.

Mcdrewcrey187, the adrenaline rush I reference is in regard to your excitement of having your name mentioned. I didn't take your post as anything other than friendly. I made you the proposition because it is a great film and one that you would never see otherwise. I'm giving you a guarantee so you'll make the effort to see the film. It's a gift from me; a great film to watch and it you don't like the DVD then I will pay for it. So far Weathered is the only member to have taken me up on the proposition and he loved the film....Go to the Topic: EQUUS one of the best films you've never seen.

It's Mark not Marl. You did the right thing waiting to see it on DVD because it wasn't worth the price at the theater which is where I saw it when it was 1st released. Does have some good actions sequences but he whole package isn't that good.
Wrong. Its a great movie.
