Wow this is exciting. They will do 3 full feature movies based on Stephen Kings epic Dark Tower series.
Along with that they will do a tv series or possible more scheduled to air in between the movies.
Jarviar Bardem have been casted to play Roland the Gunslinger and Ron Howard will direct. What is superb though is that as a part of the deal Jarviar Bardem will also have to star in the tv series.
This is freaking me out.. i love that universe in the books. Should be totally awesome.

Howard and Goldsman have told me they see the trilogy as their answer to the Peter Jackson-directed adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. While Middle Earth had a mystical medieval feel, The Dark Tower vibe is one that Goldsman described as “an alternate Americana, one part post-apocalyptic, one part Sergio Leone.”
