The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) is on IFC thursday august 25th @ 5:05 pm & 7;20 pm and saturday august 27th @ 5:00 pm & 7:15 pm.

VERY funny "SciFi Comedy" based in the British radio, TV and books series of the same name. Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent, Zooey Deschanel as Tricia McMillan ("Trillian"), Mos Def as Ford Prefect and Sam Rockwell as Zaphod Beeblebrox are all hilarious BUT Alan Rickman as Voice of Marvin the Paranoid Android, along with the bureaucratic Vogons, steal the show.

it's worth watching just for Marvin's snarky oneliners and THIS great line from the Vogon Leader https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0WcgZI_JDQ&feature=like-suggest&list=UL @ the 6:20 mark after being shot with the "point of view" gun. "Oh, I Feel SO Depressed"

to each his own. I happen to like "British humor", esp Monty Python, AND have watched just about every Doctor Who since it ran on PBS four decades ago with then Jon Pertwee as The Doctor ( his successor Tom Baker was the BEST ever). I just thought this had some funny lines and "absurd humor" situations that made it worth watching.

I have Dish-TV. they use Tribune Media for their TV Guide and they fuck up pretty regular. whay can I say? it IS uploaded on YouTube and it's well done it's just in snips.
