speaking of other "favorite trilogies", how about the "Toy Story" series?
all three are playing on Starz this weekend starting Saturday.

Can't argue with the Toy Story series....
The Silence of the Lambs series is one I didn't think of, although there is actually 4 of them, if we are keeping to the confines of a trilogy. I can't speak to Hannibal Rising as I have never seen it. As far as the first three, to me they fall into the Godfather category...two are really good (Lambs, Red Dragon) and one not very good (Hannibal).
Where do you guys rank the Ocean's (11,12,13) series?

YES. The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon and Hannibal were ALL excellent and the "prequel" Hannibal Rising, with Gaspard Ulliel as the young Hannibal Lecter, was pretty good too

for consideration I will mention the Swedish Millennium series trilogy (aka "The Girl" movies). The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. thought all three were EXCELLENT even though you have to put up with sub-titles
thought the Swedish version of "Dragon Tattoo" with Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth ("The Girl") and Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist was MUCH better acted than the US production with skanky Rooney Mara as Lisbeth and Daniel Craig as Blomkvist. MGM-Columba should have just bought the Swedish films and dubbed then into English
