Richard Attenborough's epic about the early life of Winston Churchill. definately worth recording IF your a history buff or admire the man. have seen it numerous times and think it's VERY well played by all envolved esp Simon Ward as the Young Winston, Anne Bancroft as his mother, Lady Jennie Churchill Robert Shaw as Lord Randolph Churchill and Michael Audreson as Winston at age 13. also early work in their careers by Anthony Hopkins as David Lloyd George and Ian Holm as London Times editor George E. Buckle. a bit long at over 2 hours and 40 minutes BUT keeps a steady pace throughout.
